The nominations were closed in January 2025 and like Obama he was sworn in 12 days before. True, President Trump did far more than Obama the first 12 days but Obama winning so quickly caused the Prize to be tainted.

Gore and Obama wins devalued the award, Trump MUST be the recipient in 2026. Missing the cutoff date automatically removed him in '25, but the award should be his next year. If not, eliminate the prize altogether for it will become nothing more than a joke and meme.
I agree President Trump deserves the Noble Peace Award, but unfortunately January is the cut off date, so next year he should receive it. I didn’t vote for him to receive it now because of rules. I know the other side doesn’t play by the rules, but we’re better than that.

I voted yes, but my understanding is the cut off date to nominate a candidate is in January. That would make everything President Trump has done in his current term eligible for next year’s award. Personally, I’d rather see him be given his rightful place on Mount Rushmore.

Two facts speak for themselves that this committee's decisions are tainted and biased. First that Obama was selected for next to nothing with no “track record” and only 9 months in office. That was a “joke” even back then. Secondly , Trump has multiple accomplishments but is so hated by liberals that the committee was more influenced by that hate & lies than accolades on his behalf of Pres Trump from around the world.. Yet another institution that has lost it’s fairness & integraty and has lost it’s balue to exist

Of course I agree President Trump deserved it hands down and definitely deserved it more than Obama. I read online where the decision had already been made before President Trump's peace treaty with Israel and Gaza even though Trump deserved it for other negotiations he had done before this peace treaty. They commented he would qualify for next year. Now he'll have to compete with all the others they will consider next year that they will consider more worthy.
