Don’t term limit Presidents unless you term limit Congress. We flip the Congress if a president becomes too powerful.

Had to vote "No" on this one. Due to the fact that it brought to mind what WE had to endure between those abysmal terms of 2009-2017 and 2021-2025.

Change term limits to no more than 12 years for all federal government House, Senate & President

I say no, but I also believe that all members of Congress: Senators and House of Representatives, also Governors and Mayors should only be two terms.

I would be more likely to vote a Two Term Limit for any person in Congress.

I voted no because originally, the 22nd Amendment was designed by Republicans to prevent another FDR and it has worked well since. Do not fix something that is not broke. As in most of the other opinions here, it would open the door to the Democrats using their usual cheat scams to keep installing one of the own. The only reason it didn't work when Trump was elected twice was that they were not prepared for the amount of support Trump had and their cheating couldn't overcome the reality of it. What we absolutely need is term limits for Congress, both houses! If two is enough for the President, two is enough for them!

Although I would love to see President Trump do another term, I voted no because of the disaster, it would end up creating for the ones behind him.

All elected goverment representatives should be term limited. I'd like to see House reps limited to a max 3 terms and Senate to max 2 terms. They should also not recieve any pay when congress is not in session.

  • Carl Smith - 5 months ago

Absolutely not! Somehow or other we have to limit the term of congress members. If two terms is good for the President (it is law) then why in the sam hill hades are the politicians in Washington any different. Two reasons as I see it MONEY (greed) and POWER. It is my contention this is a terrible problem in Congress.

If we could believe the elections would be free and fair with no cheating, then yes, I would support it. But until such a time, I do not support it, democrats would use it as a tool and we would never see a republican president again.

No! Limit congress and senate instead.

As much as I will love to Keep Trump in the WH, this will be like a knife with double blade. This means that this can backfired later if we get a President again like Biden or Obama. Will be a disaster for our country, even thought that I really believed that Biden term was Obama, he was running the country since Biden was not capable! Democrats are well known for cheating and that could easily happen again. Let people like Vance, Rubio, De Santis to mention some. They are learning a lot from Trump and could be great Presidents. Let’s put term limits for Congress and Senate! Also let’s not open de pandora box!

I voted YES ONLY with stipulations and only modifications NOT a complete repeal. If we're stuck with Senators and House Reps for THEIR LIFETIME why shouldn't we have a POTUS for 3 terms. It's all done by NATIONAL POPULAR VOTE not by blue vs red states.

Thats a no. I would love to have President Trump in office again but, look and what would of happened if someone like Biden or Harris had a 12 year term. So again no. Term limits need to be put in place for congress, senate.

I agree, do not get rid of the 22 amendment, but put in the terminology that it has to be consecutive terms. Term limit congress. It was never meant to be a career.

  • Pamela - 5 months ago

I answered yes; however, I’m only interested from the perspective of Trump or conservatives running again but it would open the door for Democrats to do the same. I’d much rather see the amendment amended to limit terms held in the Senate and House more so.

  • Ralph Meservey - 5 months ago

I voted no in as much I would like to see Trump have a third term. However, I feel that Obama had a third term with Biden being the puppet. You can see how that went.
My thoughts would be to change it to two consecutive terms and that would disqualify you for a third term consecutive. There would have to be a One term break at least.

Anything we do now, can be used against us later....

  • DKMT - 5 months ago

That would be a disaster! I’m an avid Trump supporter but I do not agree he should have three terms when we would have to overturn an amendment. Once again it is there to protect us from tyranny. And as said above the House and Senate need limits which At present is a nightmare.

  • Justin Wilson - 5 months ago

This would only open the door to democrat Presidents and could potentially become a disaster for our country.

  • Kathy - 5 months ago

I voted NO! I can't imagine a "4th" term with Obama. Besides that nightmare, we need to put term limits on Representatives and Senators NOW! Look at the clusterf*ck we have with the career Congress now. It's isn't about servicing your country more than having a career of screwing over the American people. Take away their "perks", and make them serve because they want the country to do better, not their bank accounts.

  • ACL - 5 months ago

I agree with Lynn above 100%. Could you imagine a 3rd term with Obama???

  • Charlie - 5 months ago

    I-voted NO! absolutely no way!

    .

  • Lynn Brooker - 5 months ago

I think that would be a slippery slope and would lend precedence to overturning more Amendments which may not be in the interests of US citizens and patriots, or our freedoms and rights.
