I voted yes, but I agree with others, there are many more as important drugs that need to have the cost brought down.

I voted yes. I am a 22 year Thyroid cancer survivor who became a type 2 diabetic. I have been on Ozempic and now Mojarro since 2022. I was seriously obese and have now lost over 125 pounds with these two drugs and fasting when I started out I could barely walk around the block now I can walk over 3 miles a day plus I eat a healthy diet. It has helped me to learn to take care of myself and yes, I do have Ozempic face as they call it, but that is obviously due to the weight loss I will take that any day over being an obese. Everybody has a different road that they need to go on and this is my road stop judging people because everybody’s body is different. You don’t know what underlying conditions people have. It’s not just for people for weight loss. I’m not sure I agree with taking it just for weight loss but if you do have a medical condition, it is something to look into not. Everybody can just do it on their own and lose weight by diet and exercise. I tried that way for a long time and never managed to get the complete weight off that I needed to lose so yes, I am all for the drugs being reduced thankfully, I’m able to get it at a good price because of my insurance, but I have other others that I know who need it and can’t afford it so now it may be available to them as a society we need to stop judging people because you don’t know what they’re walking through in life. What works for one person may not work for another person.

I noticed the article above did not mention Mounjaro for some unknown reason, which is suspiciously missing in this report.

I believe Mounjaro is a superior drug and has less adverse side effects. (At least in my experience)

While using Manjaro, I successfully lost 60 pounds. My A1C levels dropped, and, I no longer needed to use insulin injections twice a day. My cholesterol levels also significantly improved.

Many of these medications are often labeled as weight loss drugs, but I believe the weight loss is merely a side effect of their primary function in managing diabetes, overall health, heart, and kidney disease.

(This is especially important to me since I only have one kidney and must remain vigilant about my kidney health.)

I was later moved to Ozempic.{insurance issue. Ozempic had better kickbacks, I guess}.

However, Ozempic was not nearly as effective as Manjaro. My blood sugar levels became inconsistent, my A1C increased, and On top of that, I had an allergic reaction to it. I ultimately had to return to Manjaro With my doctor's exemption filing/ Request.

I wish the discounts were better. I can't use Ozempic because I have an allergic reaction to it, so I hope these discounts will also apply to Manjaro and some of the other options.

I voted no, for I feel that these drugs are bad for your health overall. There is supplements that would do a much better job however it takes longer. You would also end up much healthier. I slowly reduce my proportions and that is what worked for me. Also took several later on that helped very very much.

No, there are far mor important drugs to get under control, epi pens, insulin, kidney drugs, cancer drugs to name a few. If your fat go on a diet, exercise, and you will lose weight. I know I have lost 51 pounds this way and I am older (67). I have heard every excuse in the book as people shove a 12 inch meatball sandwich down their throats with a 24 oz coke and chips, and top it off with 3 cookies. Sorry you will gain weight eaten that crap. We as a country need to be educated and not by pharma companies, food companies etc.... But actual food doctors and I am not talking about an MD. They know little to nothing about nutrition. Media is worse.

These meds can be a lifesaver for some of us. Many uses diabetes. Helps rid body of fatty liver disease when diet only minimally effective. Many other uses. Every medication can have a side effect. I’m happy to see the prices come down. Right now it costs $500 for 1 month supply and not covered by most insurances. Thank you President Trump

I voted unsure. I am more concerned about drugs I need to stay alive. My diabetic needs are going up next year.
These drugs are a temporary solution. Once the patient quits taking it, the weight comes back. Seems silly to pour good money into a temp solution. FYI...I have been overweight and I have been underweight. Right now, I am at a good weight for me. I find if I limit my portions I can lose weight. I know it is a struggle. I just had to accept my limitations based on my age and my love of good food and desserts. Pesky desserts. If I don't eat it, the cravings don't start. But enough about me.

As one of the previous contributors mentioned, Trump always seems to have a down-the-road plan... so I voted Yes. Some progress toward helping our country's obesity problem (read epidemic) has to be taken as a positive step that will eventually be a part of the solution which ultimately must be based on diet habit change.

I voted yes because we cannot dictate people’s choices. If they want to lose weight via will power they have that choice not to take pills.

I am unsure on this because of the potential side effects of these drugs. Even if they become less expensive doesn’t mean they should be taken if they will ultimately cause people great harm or even death. This seems like a deal with the devil.

I voted unsure because Trump always has a plan for something so there must be some reason that he is allowing the drug company or working with the drug companies to lower the prices because this drug is not good for a human being so I'm sure there's more coming.
