    Hahaha commenting from the future. In the next 4 years you will; get ebgaged,get married, move house several times, char will join his favourite band And will reach massive hieghts with them: Billboard Top 100 tracks, Warped Tour, Tour around the world and much more, But unfortunately there is some bad news, Char will have a siezure, which will be caused by a tumour, which fortunately is benign, but will cause you to have two more siezures, but overall, the next 4 years will probably be the best 4 years of your life. Oh, you will make plenty of fans too!!!!

    Hey CT, here is a comparison video of both the MinoHD and UltraHD, the difference in quality seems minimal: http://gizmodo.com/5233460/flip-ultrahd-camcorder-review

    And another UltraHD video review: http://www.engadget.com/2009/04/30/flip-video-ultra-hd-video-review/

    Hey Charles I got your e-mail and e-mail you back. Let me know that you got and my offer. THANKS!

    the size difference really isn't that great at all. I can see why you like the Mino thought Charles because it does seem like the perfect size. But like i said i don't think that you would be too bothered with the size. You probably wouldn't ever think about it. You wont need all that extra time probably but it's good that it's there. And i looked at the comparison videos and i think the Ultra seems to capture colors way better than the Mino.

    Also if you keep the Ultra then you are saving yourself $300... why would you not wanna do that? seriously, spend the money on something else :)

    later.

    i would go for the ultra 1

    Hey Charles this is Sean, I met you at youtube Live and gave you a Transformer.

    If you need a New Flip Mino HD Let me know I can hook you up. I only do it for you cuz I consider you a friend and I'm a fan :)

    Both are good but I voted for the Flip Ultra HD. A lot more recording time = a lot more footage to make videos and multiple videos in one day. You won't run out of room as quick enough. Unless you have a tiny hand purse, you don't need a smaller Flip.

    no i think you should get the Kodak Zi6. it has better quality, its cheaper and has a bigger screen. Its pretty much the same but better. I have the Zi6 and i love it :)

  • someoneee - 17 years ago

    Vado HD is awesome. you should check that out.

  • Kobius - 17 years ago

    Ah I see, my bad. In that case I did find a comparison video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BYvUUYo4kE

    Most of the comparisons I've seen are for the old Ultra then it seems. Another one is this one: http://www.geardiary.com/2009/05/01/flip-ultrahd-review/

    And just watched your latest vlog, another great one regardless of the camera ^^

    Get the kodak zi6. it takes muuuuuch better video and has muuuuch better sound. trust me

  • charles trippy - 17 years ago

    the thing is though kobius... is that its comparing the old Ultra not the Ultra HD

  • Josh Fabean - 17 years ago

    i would go with the bigger one b/c it's still pretty small as far as cameras go

  • Kobius - 17 years ago

    Hey CT, I've only used the Mino which I thought was really good, but there's a nice comparison here: http://beaucolburn.com/post/63706618/flip

  • charles trippy - 17 years ago

    i hear that the new ultra hd has a better video engine? is that true? does that mean it wont drop frames left and right?

  • jaredgei - 17 years ago

    smaller isn't necessarily better.... it's not THAT much bigger and records longer. What do you think?

  • charles trippy - 17 years ago

    i thought the frame rate and resolution were exact between the ultra and mino? so you don't have an issue recording with it?

  • Wandering Geek - 17 years ago

    I guess you just have to figure out how worth it the badass features are next to the constant size difference. Would you always be making use of said badass features? Do you need 120 mins? Recording in stereo? I have an Ultra and I carry it around no problem. But if the size thing is a pain since you're doing it everyday, totally go for the Mino.

  • derek - 17 years ago

    The size difference is minimal! check out the specs: http://www.theflip.com/products_flip_ultra_specs.II.shtml

    Definitely go for the Flip UltraHD :D

  • Gloiner - 17 years ago

    i think you should get the one with the better quality.

  • charles trippy - 17 years ago

    yeah, see a part of me is like YES to all the badass features of the ultra ... however, the size thing would be so much nicer since i'm doing it everyday... ya know?

  • Wandering Geek - 17 years ago

    You sound like you like the Ultra better just from what you said. I say go with that one. It's not like the Flip camcorders are that big anyway so I wouldn't even see size as that big of a deal. Those little plusses you mentioned for the Ultra are probably completely worth it if you ask me.

  • Egg10100 - 17 years ago

    I think you should get the Flip Mino HD because you are making videos every single day and you say the Flip Ultra HD is bigger so it´s sucks to have a big camera on you every time and you dont need to record videos longer your videos have a great time so Flip Mino HD FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • James Heckley - 17 years ago

    THe Kodak Zi6 is better because: It has unlimited choice of memory space---you can swap sd cards and have virtually unlimited memory, the audio is wayyyy and mich better compared to the Mino and the Flip line, and the New model has HDMI which means you can stream live video with it too

  • charles trippy - 17 years ago

    see here are the benefits (both are HD):

    mino = smaller, records 60mins
    ultra = records in stereo, can turn off red recording light, records 120mins

    cons:
    mino = non-removable battery
    ultra = larger

    mino

  • iEdster - 17 years ago

    Hey Charles, I think it would be better to get the Ultra HD one as long as you don't have necessity for small stuff.

  • Isabel - 17 years ago

    i think its much better to have one that records longer but a smaller one is better if u wanna take it in your bag or something :P thn u got more space !!
