Who is the South Bend Tribune Student of the Week for April 20?
London Olivia Jennings, Adams High School: London is a senior at John Adams High School. London has earned a 3.5 GPA while participating in Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate Course. London is a board member for the international student organization and a member of the Black Student Union. She also plays the Viola in the Adams Orchestra and plays the Piano outside of school. London is looking forward to pursuing a forensic science and engineering major in college. She is also passionate about music and cinema. London’s favorite activity is hanging out and talking with her friends.
Cooper Buchmann, Mishawaka High School: Cooper is an incredible French student. Although it is only his second year learning the language, he can and does speak French most of the time in class. His enthusiasm for the language is contagious, and his positivity and encouragement of others make the classroom even more welcoming.
Ella Balasa, NorthWood High School: Ella is a senior who exemplifies excellence in every aspect of high school life. She maintains outstanding grades while challenging herself with rigorous coursework and remaining deeply involved in her school community. Ella is a dedicated member of the basketball team and student council, and her leadership extends beyond the classroom through National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Students, where she actively serves her community through volunteer work. Her achievements — including the College Board Rural and Small Town Award, Science Student of the Year and recognition as a Scholar Athlete all four years — reflect not only her talent but her commitment, character and work ethic.
