While some of the writing was just OK, I thought Mariska did a solid job, especially in the pre-taped bits. The SVU send-up was actually very clever! But like much of the Oscars, the Emmys have a more difficult time “entertaining” audiences vs the Grammys and Tony’s that naturally can turn to performances to heighten the spirit of the evening. I suspect the Emmys will switch to streaming soon since network shows aren’t really featured any longer.

What could you expect from the Emmys? The host was the irritating Mariska "I can do it all" Hargitay. I’m sick of seeing this woman everywhere. *Law & Order: SVU* stopped being an epic series back in Season 20; for several seasons now, she’s the only one who ever shines, while the other actors are just filler. She is such a drag—a total leech on the acting profession.

I thought this year’s Emmy’s were the best I have seen in years. I didn’t have to listen to Hollywood liberals spew their “out of touch” opinions and the whole show was a class act. The enjoyment started with Mariska Hargitay’s natural ability to make the audience feel comfortable. She was superb, elegant and didn’t try to steal the show from the nominees. Her presentation and wardrobe changes were pure genius. Well done Marissa.
