I believe Sarah Palin is smarter than most critics give credit. I believe that politics in America has changed dramatically over the last several years, especially in this last year. Now, more than at anytime I know of in history, independents outnumber Democrats or Republicans. While Democrats pander to special interests, class groups, liberals, socialists etc. and Republicans don't know where they stand, I believe she has just done what she said in her presser, 'called an audible.'
I believe Sarah Palin will run for President in 2012 as a 'Independent Candidate' focusing on what American's are calling for right now: Less taxes, smaller, less obtrusive and controlling government, a secure defense of our country and our borders and our position world wide. I hope she can pull it off.

I think it is so she can continue her affair with Mark Sanford.

If Sarah Palin becomes the GOP standard bearer, the party base will be highly energized. It will also mean the Democrats will remain in power, perhaps for a generation.
I think she left to prepare to run for VP at the least. Due to her young age I would like her to do that, and run for President after she is (I hope) VP.
I believe that Palin will run for Senate IN 2010 where she will learn the national and international issues in preparation for a presidential run in 2016 (if a Republican doesn't win in 2012) or 2020 (if a Republican wins in 2012). Check out my tribute to the 4th: http://twurl.nl/be7rxh
Palin, probably has pulled an end run and is going to run for President., However, I do believe that she has had it with the media attacks. She is going to have to toughen up a little.
I do believe also, her statement about looking out for Alaska. And her resignation, will put the Governor's office back to work for Alaska, and not Palin's attacks.
I also believe that if she takes this time to study and become set in her beliefs concerning the challenges facing the United States, she will be hard to beat in any primary or general election.
Her only drawback in 08 was the perceived belief, she did not have a handle on such subjects. I do not believe she was ignorant of them., However, she was not ready to take on hostile media concerning them.
Now if will study, appear occasionally to help others get elected or at political gatherings, she will be unstoppable, in 2012.
We haven't seen the last of Palin. Wither it is a run for the White House or a grass roots leadership of the Republican party, I'm not convinced either way. I may not agree with all her stances, but I'm excited about her down to earth appeal. Career politicians who went to law school on Daddy's dime aren't going to get the base voter excited, no disrespect to G.W.

I really have no idea what her reasons are other than what she said in her announcement, but I am really anxious to find out what her plans are after 7-25-09. I expect to see some exciting politics from Sarah Palin soon.

I believe her in saying that she is thinking of what is best for her family & Alaskans. She will probably be testing the waters for her next move. Whatever she does she will remain an inspiration to women & conservative. I do think she will be involved in politics.
