DOGS SHOULD BE ALLOWED!! Some of us are in fact responsible dog owners. I would love to have a place where i can have a picnic and bring my dog along. I agree that HUMANS are the irresponsible ones. There's constantly trash laying around all over the place. Dont be so ignorant, there's always a mess. Also, my dog does not bite!!!!!!!!!!! my dog doesnt bite people, animals, or kids. in fact my dog loves kids!!

To get the facts straights: PIT BULLS ARE NOT ALL AGGRESSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It all depends on the dog owner, dogs need to be treated correctly and they wont be aggressive. ANY dog can be an aggressive dog. You people are so ignorant it's ridiculous

    ABSOLUTELY NOT!

In it's current form, Mohegan Park is a clean, safe, quiet environment for families to enjoy some peace and serenity.

Dogs urinate and defecate all over everything. If dogs were allowed in Mohegan Park, every park bench, picnic table, and railing would be soaked in you-know-what. The health risk, especially to small children and toddlers who like to touch everything, is simply unacceptable.

Dogs bark. If dogs are allowed in Mohegan Park, the quiet atmosphere will be shattered by the incessant noise of hundreds of barking mutts.

Dogs bite. Dogs bite humans, dogs bite animals, dogs bite other dogs, and dogs especially like to bite children. If dogs were allowed in Mohegan Park, there would be endless incidents of dog bites, dogs fighting, breach of peace, etc. And what about the inevitable pit bull attack?

I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no upside to allowing dogs in a family park. The downside risks are enormous, and potentially tragic.

There are lots of wild animals that are going in Mohegan Park that aren't being picked up after.

Every state park in CT allows dogs in the park. Mohegan Park is certainly large enough for everyone to enjoy. Dogs can be allowed in one area that is away from the swimming and the playground.

I agree with Ebony - everyone should pick up after themselves and their charges (children and animals). Responsible dog owners have gotten used to bringing poop bags with them. It would bring a lot more people to the park which is good as it is grossly underutilized for all the tax money used to support it.

I hope Mohegan Park does allow dogs - I am a responsible dog owner and ALWAYS pick up after my dog. Too bad the same can't be said for humans and their trash - often what I have to walk AROUND when walking my dog is trash left behind by human beings.

I visit the mohegan sun park more than 3 times a week with my son, i would be very desappointed if dogs are allowed because not everybody pick up after their dogs.

There is a dog park in Norwich for dogs. No need to bring them to Mohegan when their owners aren't going to pick up after themm.
