What happened to the light in the Michelson Interferometer?

    There is no match. Since the interference patern seen at the detector is the function of mirror movement means sometime u see light n somtime not at the same point. and i would guess at destructive interference the field would get zero not the intensity because I=2Io(1+cosQ) where Q=phase difference. thus in any case the intensity is not gonna zero.
