In 1987 we were visiting Arches NP and I was talking with a gentleman at Delicate Arch. I asked him where he lived. He said they lived in an RV. I said, "You can't do that!" He proceeded to tell me how you could do that! When we got back to Houston, Margie and I started looking into it and the more we looked the better it became. We were told about "some organization" in Livingston, TX called Escapees so we went to visit and joined that day even though we didn't have an RV. For the next few years everything was aimed at the one goal. Full-timing! We made it in June of 1995 and have never looked back. Don't let anyone tell you it can't be done!
