A general course about the Presidency should review the requirements set in the US Constitution and the qualities of past presidents not glorify the current president. After all the main reason for providing these lessons should be to encourage democratic participation not glorify a sitting president. Right?

Socialism is on its way. Slowly but decidedly the process of "reform" will move us closer toward a socialist agenda. It is similar to the Reform School Charles N. Li talks about in his book THE BITTER SEA. The Chinese culture slowly went through reform without even knowing it was happening, just like the slow boiling of a frog. If we sit back and wait, we will be telling our kids and grandkids how wonderful freedom in America WAS. We need to do more than watch it happen. Anyways, it's alot of the parents allowing their kids NOT to go to school that day. Please do this parents. 1 day will not hurt their education. However, it will make a point to this evil administration, and hopefully the sick school districts that are allowing this to occur.

I used to belong to one of the two BIG political parties but an now an independent because neither party represents me, my family, or our values. To that end, Presidential 'Indoctrination' or any kind of political indoctrination in tax payer funded schools [and that includes colleges & universities] is improper. Government workings absolutely need to be taught but should wait until the students are old enough to encompass such complex workings; i.e. high school civics. American history in an apolitical setting is what children in grade and middle schools should be learning. And yes, I have been a teacher. I have already called my children's principal and voiced my opinion on whether their school should participate. If the principal insists on having the students participate, then my children will be absent that day, nor will they do makeup work for this. Last time I checked, I was still the parent and school employees and government employees whether hired, appointed or voted in also still work for me.

This president, who may not even be a natural born American (he could easily settle this debate if he is?), seems determined to force his agenda on the American people without regard to their wishes. His true core values were carefully hidden during his campaign with the help of the media by not demanding to know more about him. The truth is coming out! I took a College course on the Holocaust and the steps Obama and the Democrats are taking is exactly how Hitler took over. Hitler moved fast before anyone noticed what was happening (hit hard and fast), he began brainwashing the kids ( the ones he didn't murder), he misled the people with lies (you are going to take a shower and we will give you back your belongings when you are done) and Hitler was a very charismatic and inspirational speaker.
