Taking nothing away from the above mentioned but the most deserving is RUSH by a mile.

  • Jeff Anthony - 15 years ago

Cheap Trick, Alice Cooper and Rush all deserve to be in. All are highly influential to other artists and made their reputation on having a great live act which in my opinion is how great acts should be judged. Having said that there are many more that have been snubbed but these are a few at the top of my list.

If anyone has seen Cheap Trick live knows that it is a crime that they have not been inducted years ago. Remember it was a live performance that made them famous. How many other bands/performers can say that. Cheap Trick: the greatest...

Cheap Trick deserved to be in years ago. That's why the R&R Hall of Fame is a JOKE.

How can there be a rock and roll hall of fame without The Guess Who? American woman, these eyes, lauging, undone. Everysone still sounds perfect and Burton Cummins is if not the best voice in rock one of them. I need not say anything else. The Hall of fame is a shame

Consider the accomplishments of the Moody Blues. One of the earliest rock bands to record with an orchestra. They had a song that reached #1 three times! Their keyboard player was co-inventor of the mellotron. They were the first rock band to tour Russia. They have been together and selling out concert for over 40 years. Not to mention millions of albums sold and countless classic hits. If they're not in the HOF, the place should be burnt down!

Without question, all of the names championed above deserve to be in the Hall, and lI may.....pleas epermit me to me add yet another overlooked giant and pioneer to that list. What about the legendary Richie Havens, who opened the historic Woodstock Art & Music Fair 40 years ago and forever changed the course of our cultural history? 40 years later Richie is still making incredible music with a singular style and signature sound that's unmistakeable and brilliant!

What's wrong with you people. Steve Miller WAS classic freakin' rock. The Joker, Jet Airliner, Take The Money and Run, Fly Like an Eagle...He deserves it more than anyone you all mentioned. Neil Diamond!? Come on! Pansy-ass music. You do a duet with Barbara Striesand, you're not a rocker.

Todd Rundgren has been an influence in the music business since the late 60s. Not only producing his own music but that of many artists ALREADY in the RRHOF. If not for his producing skills, they probably wouldn't be there at all.

Not electing Todd to the RRHOF ALREADY makes this establishment a joke. Continuing to over look him makes if a farce. From what I have heard about the place, random disjointed small displays with a GIGANTIC STORE above, already makes it a joke.

For all of you 50s & 60s rock 'n roll fans, how about JOHNNY MAESTRO? With all due respect to the great Dion DiMucci, Johnny also exemplified the great music from that era. Johnny belongs right in there with Dion.

POCO came from the pieces of Buffalo Springfield and contributed them to such greats as Loggins and Messina and the Eagles. All while holding their own band together and creating the country cross over. There is no finer.

Personally, I think the musical act that’s been overlooked that deserves to be in the hall of fame is CHICAGO.
