I've heard that Cross Game Chat and Cross Game Music has already been developed, and a certain publisher is threatening legal action if it is implemented, as it affects the stability of one of their games.
Personally I don't get it. If PlayTV can record TV when you are playing games then why cant a little voice chat application sit in the background too? Remote play also quite happily streams video off the PS3 when games are playing too.
If Cross Game Chat isn't doable yet, I'd still like to see a Skype +PSeye application, even if it doesn't work in-game, or had limited in-game functionality. It'd be a good way to connect with non-PS3 users.
