Dear Friends, I would like to highlight that even though Mr. Fonseka is a great comander to Army with no political back ground and with UNP back up he may create another Prabakaran. He was in Army since long back and experiancing many political parties decesion against war. Mr. Fonseka would have taken this decesion during those parties rulling time periods against those who are trying to bring him up at this stage. Because of Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksha's braveness all those people could have sucess the war against terarism. Hence Mr. Fonseka better quit this useless effort. Also Mr. Mahinda should redeuce get involed family politics as he may loss pretty soon if so. However we respect Mr. Fonseka's efforts during war and he better keep his self respect, without being another Janaka Perera. Wish all the best for both.
Mahida rajapaksha started his president ship with Dipositing the Sunami Contributions in theprivate bank account while all the Cabinet has mandate to diposit in the Joint Government Fund in the Central bank which led by Presaident Kumaratunga and it was covered by presidential immunity once he became the president that was the start. The greatest threat and challange SL faces today is seperatism and the national threat which is assosoated with this. Curruption is very minor and negligible and it will always prevail. Our politicians look like angels when you compare the curruption of counties like USA. Curruption comes as part of politics. There are lot of western powers who were working ot to save LTTE. Though LTTE is defeated in SL the LTTE-diaspora and seperatism is very active and alive outside SL. Without a leader like MR SL will be gone. The people who betray country by voting SF get ready to jump in to Ocean.

I have seen 30 years of political history of Sri Lanka in my life. No leader had a genuine need to eradicate LTTE terrorism and develop the country. But Mahinda on the other hand within 4 years of coming to power proved that he is the man for the job. Bravo!! Today we all can share the freedom of life. Also while fighting LTTE he has not neglected the development of the country. That is also happening at accelerated pace.
Being true Sri Lankans and sons and daughters of Mother Sri Lanka we all have a duty to give him a chance to full fill the economic developments he has initiated. In the current context he is the only deserving man for the job. Like Gordon Brown the British Prime minister said few years ago “Yes we all like new blood coming in to politics, but this is no time for testing…” We need a tested horse and that is Mahinda who has over decades of political experience.
General Fonseka is a very good leader no arguments!! But he would have been another retired army commander if not for the leadership and the direction of President and Col Gotabaya and we cannot underestimate the excellent work done by Air Force and the Navy. Also we should not forget leading the Army and Leading the country are totally different and it’s very dangerous to run a democratic country with Marshal Low.
We had commanders throughout the history who wanted to end the bloody terrorism. But what we didn’t have was a leader who wanted to support them and shield the international power. We found it in Mahinda. What I don’t agree is the “KING” story of some of the idiots around us. However although I've met & spoke with Gen Fonseca (a fellow Anandian), my full support is with Hon President Mahinda for what he did for our country, which he hopes to continue for many more years. May he rule with the blessings of the Triple Gem & with the approval of all Sri Lankan voters. To quote a phrase "Devil or MR in hand is better than the Bird or SF in the Bush". Although I was impressed with the talk by Gen Fonseca yesterday, our feeling is that he will get forenigers to SL & break the country into 10 or 15 states.
