Ibelieve Derek Jeter,Mariano Rivera,Nick Swisher,HEDKI MANSU,ROBINSON CANO,Johnny DAMON. All of them shou;d have been on there it should have been a group picture cause all of them should have put a part in the championship especially Marino Rivera. And Kate Hudson didn't do anythang to do with it i'm tired of people saying that she did swelling her big head and ears up because that's not true GOD made it possible.

Did it cross your mind that his reputaion could be impecable because he leads his lfe in a fashion that that is beyond reproach. OK, perhaps nobody leads a perfect life. But considering the fishbowl he's both played in and lived in since the age of 21, could anyone handle themself better. But congratulations, you'll always find the negative angle. As well as Jeter plays baseball, you can find the pessimistic view on the Yankees, and in general sports. I think you need a vacation to a nice pleasant island where maybe you can find why you loved sports when you were young, and why you still watch them, other then that you get paid for it.

Having said that, Federer should have one.

Mr. Sherman - Good question, why dump on Jeter? Because it's not as interesting to write about? A better question is why not celebrate Derek Jeter for what he is? A consummate professional. A true talent. A success story. A great leader both in and out of the clubhouse. One of the greatest Yankees of all time. Let's be glad he is here and that you have a good story to tell and to continue to be able to tell. He is an inspiration to all those young kids out there playing little league and learning about baseball for the first time. I know that is true for my seven year-old.

All these awards and records and the only thing that really matters to a consummate team player like Derek Jeter is the 27th World Series Title.
That is why he is one of the All Time Great players in the History Of Baseball and the most beloved and respected Yankee since Mickey Mantle.

    Mr. Sherman
Derek has probally deserved to win this award many times over. He has conducted himself to the point Major Leaque Players point to him as their role
model. As a coach for over 50 years now,it is wonderful to be able to point to him as a person young people should aspire to be like.
Awards attract young people's attention, create conversation and in turn teachable opportunities.
Let's hope he wins many more.

Derek Jeter is one of the most special sports figures around these days. He handles himself with class and he is never around controversy and as we are finding out that is almost impossible to do in this day and age. He deserves every accolade that comes his way and he is probably one of the best role models for kids ever. I am proud to be a Yankee fan because of Derek Jeter and no one can ever convince me that he does not deserve these awards whenever he gets them.
