Your reputation derives from your actions. And if the rumors prove true, his reputation will deservedly suffer.

THE BEST WAY TO KILL A RUMOUR IS SILENT.

Tiger's reputation will NOT suffer because of this recent unfortunate incident ; people that have actually followed his career and know something about him and how he handles himself should realize that he pretty much is at the pinnacle of not only all professional athletes, but also for all celebrities when it comes to maintaining a "private" life. The mob as well as the media always want to bring down those at the top; it's a fact of our cynical culture today. Tiger has always upheld the highest standards for himself and the sport. He has my respect for all that he does and I think he has a right and a duty as a man and husband to keep silent about this mess and I am confident as he is that it will go away. None of us need to know what goes on in his private life.
He unlike many pro athletes and celebs knows and exudes honor in all that he does. Does anyone remember the speech he gave at the inauguration of our current President ? He basically credited all that he is to his family, his father and the Armed Services for protecting this great country and allowing him to pursue his dreams. Tiger will suffer silently like the rest of us.

His endorsements are the ones guiding him through all this BS. They pay him a lot of money because he makes them a lot more. They are not going to drop him for 1 second. The smartest thing he could do is just clam up and follow the laws in the state of Florida. Buick wouldn't sell cars if not for Tiger. He is the main PR person for Nike. American express is not going to cancel his contract for the same reason, he did nothing wrong, as far as breaking any laws. I don't think Cadillac would hire him because their product hold up too well.
There is no moral clause that he broke and now the FHP has dropped the case and given him a ticket for careless driving
no rape- no drugs- and no adultery as far as the story goes
    PUNDITS_ JUST GO AWAY !!!

His rep will be tarnished but he will regain it because he's protecting his wife from jail time. The clues suggest his wife whacked him with something (the golf club?) during an argument about his fidelity. He then tried to leave the house to cool things off but was "slipping in and out of consciousness" as reported by the police. So he hit the tree. The accident was not severe enough to deploy the airbags and therefore did not cause the significant damage to his face and head. There was no blood on the steering wheel. This is a case of domestic violence. If she hit him with a driver then you could call this The Case of Woods Taking a Wood For His Woody.

Of course his rep will be tarnished, from various stand points. 1-His endorsers (not Publically)will have him under a precautionary microscope from here on in and as i write are reviewing their "moral clauses". 2-Tiger has now been a victim of physical spousal abuse in the eyes of many(no intervention)means breath holding waitng for further fallout.3- of course theres the underling resentment of special treatment by the rich. 4-then the unspoken mis-placed view by many african-americans(of which i am)that he got what he deserved for thinking it would be any different on the other side o the racaial fence!

Leave it alone - maybe he was going out to buy his wife some tampons.
