    Hi guys,
Here is an awesome site. http://datingromance.byethost18.com/index.html.
t kiss on our 1st date but found out on our 2nd & 3rd date that we both wanted to but didn?t know what the other person wanted so we quickly made up for lost time.Since then we have seen each other every week without fail and we both knew we had fallen head over heals in love with each other from the second week of seeing each other..
On our site you can find articles and photos on datingromance map
    intimidating
On our site you can find articles, and pictures on I don't think either of us expected this to happen to us and he has made me realise that I am a lovely person and he is the most wonderful, thoughtful kind caring man I have ever met.We both would like to thank everyone at large-friends for bringing us together, we are both very happy and couldn?t of done it without this site and we wrote this to give other people encouragement that it is possible to find true love if you look hard enough..

    dating-online-teen.

I was seeing a guy I met on another site, and in a short time things just didnt work out so as many times before and like so many others have said I claimed I was done with internet dateing/ meeting men.I was telling a co- cuddly friend that I was over internet meetings and was going to accept that I was to stay single as there was NO men that would ever be honest, loving and accepting of my few extra pounds. She told me of your site and I though oh well what have I lost if I just look so I did and put up my profile and because I was SO angry with MEN I put down EVERY thing I wanted and some in a man ..
    Thanks.

Order by Wednesday 23rd December to receive calendar in time for Christmas!

  • Robert Zimmerman - 14 years ago

quote: "Perhaps the fairest way to resolve the issue of the overall winner would be to ask each of the finalists to vote for one photo (not their own), that they think the most deserving."

A good idea. Preferably over lunch, or better still, dinner ;-)

Seriously, the current system is just too flawed, with the photographer who "knows" most people getting top spot.

  • Lozza - 14 years ago

What did people really expect though?

Surely everybody here has asked their friends, colleagues and networks to vote for their picture. It would appear that James Davies simply knows more people than the other contenders.

Perhaps the fairest way to resolve the issue of the overall winner would be to ask each of the finalists to vote for one photo (not their own), that they think the most deserving.

  • Robert Zimmerman - 14 years ago

    Forgot to add "rolls eyes".

  • Robert Zimmerman - 14 years ago

And may the best picture be "voted" top. And the second best be "voted" second. Yeah, right

  • Stanimira Stewart - 14 years ago

    Great picture

  • Wes - 14 years ago

I see that a second entrant seems to be getting the message that manipulating the poll is acceptable behaviour.

  • Karen - 14 years ago

    Voted

  • Maliha - 14 years ago

Great Photos...but i wish there was an option to rank my choices..there are some pictures i love more than the others...the best was Martin Griffett's one.

  • Robert Zimmerman - 14 years ago

Contrary to Bim's naive belief, it's easy enough to rig the poll, depending on how much effort you wish to put into it. Next he will be saying that it is impossible for Tee Vee companies to fix their telephone polls.

I actually think that Mr Davies's picture is an interesting shot - although not a "winner" - but it does leave a sour taste when such obvious, erm, shall we call it manipulation is going on.

Most of all, I feel very sorry for Kate Day, who has put so much work and *enthusiasm* into the competition, only to see it being hi-jacked.

There must be better ways to arrive at a result.

Best pictures IMHO: Andy Barton's "Lighthouse", Stephen Thaw's "Green Forest", Martin Griffet's "Sunset", Brendan Howard's "Love" and Phil Callow's "Water Drops", in that order.

  • HattyD - 14 years ago

Will Burrard-Lucas defo the best photo. Love lots of them though

  • Wes - 14 years ago

Of course it can be rigged.

There is a very, very simple way that someone could place multiple votes for any contestant (including themselves). If someone was sad enough to want to do so, of course.

  • Bim - 14 years ago

Get a grip you lot - there is no way an online poll can be rigged. Anyway, it is a great photo and it's here because it's deserves to be here. Looks like he's just asked a few more people to vote for his photo than everybody else... there is no crime in that.

  • Robert Zimmerman - 14 years ago

I wholeheartedly agree with Sam Westcott's latest post.

  • Sam Westcott - 14 years ago

I'm actually a bit saddened by some of the comments on here. These aren't supposed to be professional pictures, it's a competition for amateur photographers, people who like to do photography in their spare time. So to say negative things like "Not a good one among them." or the similar is a real slap in the face for people who do this for fun and are actually excited that an image of theirs would even be considered for something like this.

I do realise that criticism is something that all artists and the like must endure, but it's just negative and it's not constructive at all. Like my nan used to say "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

  • fakeyjoe - 14 years ago

regardless of the debate, it is the best photo.

  • Timl - 14 years ago

Is it really that easy to rig an online poll?

Sorry to ask but I'm useless at all this compewter stuff.

  • Pell - 14 years ago

Kate, the final selection will reflect very poorly on you yourself should you be forced to include a "london from my holiday plane" photo just because he gets 1000 anonymous forummers to vote for it. I think enough evidence has been presented here for a disqualification.

this goes way beyond simply asking for friends to stop by and vote. Look at the current votes! It's ridiculous.

  • Mintyfresh - 14 years ago

In response to Moley's (another forum character) post - The full text of the post is below (please note "moley"'s image has been edited to exclude his introductory paragraph.)

    Good morning Forum,

The Telegraph runs a weekly photography competition on their site and are now making a charity calender for 2010 from 12 of the winners from the past year. I have the honour of being one of the winners and have come to you, oh lovely Forum, in assistance.

They ask that you select your 12 favourite images and the final 12 with the most votes will be put in the calender. However may I suggest you annoy everyone else and just vote for mine

The voting page can be found here:
    http://answers.polldaddy.com/poll/2330393/

Please would you do me the massive favour of voting in your droves for this photo taken by me which won when the theme of the competition was buildings:

Many thanks and to everyone who votes

  • John McCafferty - 14 years ago

    great picture.

  • Kris A.K.A. Busi - 14 years ago

All that James Davies has done is rally some people to vote for his picture on some forums. Contrary to what some other twats have stated in the comments, he hasn't tried to bribe people or cheated in any manner.

There's always going to be some utter cocks who try and stir things up.

  • Mintyfresh - 14 years ago

There is NO cheating of the type "Pete" has suggested going on - this has been posted on a forum with a very good photography thread which James has support from. There is absolutely nothing wrong with promoting your work, especially if you belong to a community of like-minded individuals.

Comments from "Chip" and "THFC" are both from members of the forum who are trolling.

Kate, If you require any evidence that the forum has strong links to photography, you now have my email - feel free to drop me a line and I will point you toward the various flickr groups set up by the forum with examples of their work.

Please though, rest assured that none of the votes are made by code and are all real individuals.

    Regards,

    Minty.

  • THFC - 14 years ago

Kate, I think its one thing to ask your friends and family to vote, but to ask a group of people on a forum who you have never met, to vote surely skews the vote?

  • moley - 14 years ago

does this seem fair to you? One of the biggest forums in the UK getting people to vote for the dullest photo on here:

    http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/2430/picor.jpg

the poll is utterly devalued in my opinion.

  • Kate Day - 14 years ago

It seems completely legitimate to try and rally support for a picture, anyone could do that. Deliberately cheating the system is clearly different.

We shouldn't throw accusations around. If there's evidence of objectionable behaviour taking place then please let me know - kate.day@telegraph.co.uk

    Thanks

  • T.S - 14 years ago

Who has ever said asking for votes is cheating? People are coming here of their own free will and completing the poll tbh. I'm SURE none of the other nomanies have asked their friends/familes to swing by...

  • THFC - 14 years ago

James Davies is cheating by posting the link on lots of forums and asking for votes

  • Chip - 14 years ago

there's a lot of cheat voting going on with the B&W aerial shot. Worse than a zimbabwe election. Could you do something about this please...the guy has been begging and even paying for votes on multiple forums.

  • Wes - 14 years ago

Wow. Some odd voting going on today... Mr Davies has a lot of friends who have all turned up today

  • Barry B - 14 years ago

Great photos - a big awooga to all of the nominees!

  • Richard avon - 14 years ago

Phil Callow's 'Droplets' HEAD and SHOULDERS above all tne rest. The ONLY one of these I would want in a calendar

  • Chip - 14 years ago

Nice pictures, I have some lovely shots of schools and playgrounds. But I'm not allowed to go there anymore.

  • Piotrish - 14 years ago

And I find this bizarrely touching, trish, toppa. Lovely photos, Fergal would be proud.

  • Ben - 14 years ago

    Yay!!

  • Kate Day - 14 years ago

Thanks for all your comments so far.

If you've come straight to this page and didn't know already, these pictures are the winners of a weekly photo competition that runs on my Telegraph blog. You can see more about that and larger versions of all of these pics here http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/culture/kateday/100005291/photo-competition-charity-calendr-choose-your-favourite-pictures/

Profits from the calender will go to BLESMA, Starehe, Bliss and Excellent Development - the four charities chosen for this year's Telegraph Christmas Appeal - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/telegraphchristmasappeal/

So it's some great images for a great cause!

  • Hannah - 14 years ago

Great photos - again, i agree big difference between my choice of 1st and 12th place so not sure the structure of the competition works - but congrats to all for being selected this far.

  • JamesD - 14 years ago

An honour to be nominated, some great shots here. Let's hope the calender raises a lot of money for a good cause.

  • Stew Chambers - 14 years ago

Some fantastic shots and great inspiration/motivation to get involved in 2010 - well done to all the nominees!

  • Tim Allen - 14 years ago

I'm both proud to be one of the nominations and in despair at some of the comments left on this page. Hopefully the trolls will be removed.

  • Sam Westcott - 14 years ago

I'm so excited to even be included :D
The photo's that I've seen in this blog have been stunning and it's great to see non professional photographers being noticed!
Conor Ogle's ducks are my favourite.

Some great photos and some good photos. The light and reflections in Paul Westlake's stand out for me

Does one really have to chose 12 images? I was struggling a bit after eight. There is a big gap between my Nos. 1 and 12.

Some very good ones there, and some not so good, as is to be expected.

Love the "LOVE" one. We all need love :-)

Andy Barton's lighthouse is my favourite.

    Good/interesting competition, Kate Day.

I really don't understand why you would bother to post such a negative comment as you did Sam.

Did you not win one of the weekly competitions? Or are you just a sad little troll? Don't bother to reply, I think we all know the answer.

More chocolate-box photography from the world's dullest competition run by the world's dullest blogger
