I respect more the authors who publish their book both traditionally and electronically under the Creative Commons license. Examples would be Cory Doctorow and Charles Stross - I ended up buying their p-books after reading electronic ones under CC. BTW, I am disappointed with Stross' views on Amazon-MM spat.
