When I am actually on the road (usually with a friend accompanying me) I have found that costs average $50 day a piece. This includes gasoline, campgrounds, groceries, eating out (usually lunch en route), sightseeing, etc.
When I am not on the road my RV sits in my daughter's yard in the country outside of Lexington, VA and serves as a sort of "mother-in-law cottage" giving us each our own space but family closeness. During those times my expenses are just a $50/month contirubiton to utilities, an occasional run to a nearby campground to dump, and my own groceries.
