i thought it was strange that rat said "hiya" he doesn't seem like he would say that. I liked the strip though. I thought that it was a good idea. Rat would definitely blow up pig's car. Even though some people said the positions should be switched, why would pig blow up rat's car?
I think you should change the last panel. Instead of having Rat say anything, just show him bouncing around some more on the pogo stick. It will make it a little more absurd, but I think it's more in line with Rat's character.
I think it's totally inane and I LOVE it! Especially Pig's expression with his hands over his mouth. Run it!
This is a Saturday strip for sure, or its going to require some edits. It gets a "heh." out of me. More than a meh, less than a hah. good luck
I think Pig's expression in the second frame is a little forced... I remember from one of your books a while back that you said you disliked one of your strips because the expression on one of the character's was too strong.
Maybe have Pig's face stay the same in the first two panels, but in the last one have him fainted or something like that.
Not up to your usual high standards. Perhaps you could sell the idea to Brian Basset or Bill Keane.
I laughed. It caught my eye right away with the bouncing visual that I immediately found funny. RUN THAT BABY!!!!!!

I think the last frame is too plain. Maybe if pig were holding something in the first two frames, and then it was on the floor in the third frame to show that he left in a hurry.
Leave it as is.....Sometimes it takes me a while to "get it". Maybe by the time you DO publish it I WILL "get it", cause I don't right now...but I LIKE IT anyway!!
I think Pig would be the more likely one to be on a pogo stick. I think you ought to swap Pig and Rat in the first two panels and leave Rat with the last line and holding the pogo stick.
Or you have Rat continue jumping on the pogo stick in the last panel. That way it looks more like he's bouncing for his own pleasure.
I like the concept, but I don't particularly like the last panel. The way Rat is holding the pogo stick it looks like a weapon and my first thought was that somewhere between panel 2 and 3 he hit Pig on the head with the weapon. I'd like to see Rat pogo-ing (solo) in the last pane as he delivers his punchline.
I think you once had a "delivering bad news on/with a _______." joke a couple a years back, I can't be sure, but I don't know why explosives were involved.
I think Rat needs to be telling Pig something else. Like that Pig's grandmother was just sucked into a combine thresher. Blowing up his car seems too "meh."
I think Rat should ask Pig to get on the Pogo stick in panel one. Rat tell Pig in panel 2 and panel 3 stay the same.

I agree with Allison Sparks, have him deliver more bad news to other characters, I think as a series it will work even better.
Ha ha! So random! I think it fits with Rat on the pogo stick trying to "soften" the news because I don't think he's being too nice, I think he's trying to make himself feel better. :) I approve

Another thought: I think Rat is delivering the bad news (which is fun for him) to others on the pogo stick because it doubles HIS pleasure. He isn't trying to soften the blow of the bad news.
I love the concept, but I think that rat's line in the last box needs to be changed. Possibly just something like "I like pogo sticks" so that it doesn't seem like he's trying to soften the blow.
Finish the week with Rat delivering more bad news to others on the pogo stick.
I say Sunday so we can see it in color as well as a frame that is the smoldering wreckage of the car.
I voted nix it, cuz I think the characters would be reversed. It would be more like pig to try to deliver bad news in a better manner, and would most likely end with Rat bonking Pig with the pogo stick and having some line about the other thing pogo sticks are good for (abuse).
I agree with Dewey Roth's assessment - I think you should redraw it and put Pig on the pogo stick instead.
I got a good chuckle out of it. The only issue I have is that I can't imagine Pig driving, much less owning a car. I probably missed him driving somewhere, but I don't think I'd trust him behind the wheel (Rat either, but for different reasons).
The only reason I voted for the last week in December is because it seems a little too kind of Rat to want to soften the blow of the bad news
