I can either ride the #8 all the way (a block from my place to a block from work), or I can walk about 10 blocks to Commercial/Broadway Station. It takes about the same total time either way, but on nice mornings the walk down E 10th is lovely.
(At one point in my life I had an hour-long drive commute. I couldn't imagine going back, ever. Moving into the city, selling my car, walking and bussing around...saves time, saves money, saves stress and frustration. Now I hear people talk about things like driving from Surrey to West Van and it boggles the mind.)

I live about 10 minutes from the Canada Line which now drops me off a 1 minute walk from work. Before the Canada Line, my commute to work was about 38 minutes and home about 50 minutes to an hour. Now it's less than 30 minutes each way! It has become commuter heaven for me!
