If they want to be called 'Volunteers' then they should not be paid. Plain and simple. If they want to be paid then they shouldn't mind being referred to as the much less generous sounding 'Medical Contractor'. Doctors go through so much 'education' that you'd think they would be a bit wiser about simple concepts like this...
