I think one of the best outcomes of all this would be a double bill with Digital Earth AND Destination.
Whoever wins the contest, headlines.
One is from York the other from Huddersfield and Aberdeen so *checks google maps*
maybe one in Leeds and one in Edinburgh?

Although I am backing Destination personally The competition and Oliver Tooley deserve everyone's support. Lots of time and effort has been put into this and we should all remember what its about. I am drumming up support for the competition as a whole with local papers and radio stations. after all whoever wins needs support to make this work . As I understand it, what happened today was.
After one silly fan tried to persuade a few more people to vote for his fave band with a bit of ebribery there was a big bust up on the poll comments section and an accusation of cheating was made.
Can I just put into perspective how silly this comment was.
over 500 people have voted for EACH of the two front runners a few votes either way are unlikely to make much impression.
If anyone were to really bribe people they would spend more money than they could possibly hope to make out of winning.
IF anyone suspects another band of cheating they should TELL ME! and I will look into it.
They should not make false and wild accusations on this poll.
As a result of this slur it appears that the accused band have slipped to second place and the slur came from the other band.
I am NOT happy. There will always be questions about this now. Thank you SO much.

I am really sad that the thoughtless, unsolicited comments of one individual ( who is not associated with the band) has caused a move away from the essence of the competition which is about the music and the bands themselves. It isn't about anything else. Should Destination not secure the winning position, I personally will always wonder if the action of one loose cannon contributed in some way. I would urge anyone to listen to their music and vote for them if you can. This is an open fair and very welcome competition giving all the bands new exposure and I hope it remains so - now who mentioned chocolate biscuits? That sounds appealing! Good luck Destination - keeping everything crossed for you guys and hoping for you hard earned, much deserved success :-)

The trouble with e-messaging etc, is that no-one can tell when you're joking or not, so prolly best not to make comments that can be taken in the wrong way. We all want a fair comp, but I personally would like Destination to win most of all...
I have just deleted one post. I will be deleting more.
I don't want to see personal attacks on people on here.
This is not a "MAKE OR BREAK" competition.
The winner will (at best) get a top 40 chart position and a few thousand singles sales.
IF the British public likes the single they may get higher.
If not they wont.
Meanwhile ALL the bands have earned new fans, made new friends, learned a few things,and some of them have been offered festivals and other gig dates as a result of participating.
I want to carry on with the comp next month and I will be making changes to ensure fairness next time. But meanwhile EVERYONE, keep your nasty thoughts to yourselves, and play nice.

You don't need a big set just a big hit that gets played a lot. I can play a lot of one hit wonders in a 6 hour set! And I like the 80's sound of this track.

I think the rock vote is split.
Five bands that are broadly speaking rock, two that are dance and three that are very laid back.
I still think every single song is worthy of chart success. But I don't get to choose the result.
