Watch out for Candidates calling themselves Tea Party Candidates investigate before you think about voting for these guys the party says some of these candidates are Spoilers "plants" to take votes from real conservative candidates. Looks like the socialist are really worried.

America's sleeping dragon woke up. We are not going to be decieved by these implants? or anyone else untrue to the will of the American people and it's constitution (as God willing) anymore!

Please do not run and ultimately help Reid retain his Senate seat! A. J. Lyon

Harry Reid Has Got To Go! Conservitives Cannot Afford To Split The Republican Vote. Thoes Of Us That Identify Ourselfs With The Tea Party Movement Need To Focus On Taking Control Of The Republican Party!

  • Eric Odom - 16 years ago

Joe, that is not correct, in my opinion. Brunner is trying to keep someone from even getting on the ballot to begin with. Our wish is that Ashjian considers the reality that his candidacy poses a threat to our chances of defeating Harry Reid.

He has every right to get on the ballot and run for Senate. We have every right to ask him to withdraw.

Wherever this "TEA PARTY CANDIDATE" came from, it was NOT from the Tea Party movement! What is really known about his candidate and the people who back him? And how can he run on a Tea Party political party when the authentic Tea Party movement does not have a political party? Even the New York candidate, Doug Hoffman, ran as a Republican endorsed by the Tea Party movement.

The Tea Party in Nevada needs to get behind the TRUE CONSERVATIVE candidate, Sharron Angle, who has the voting record to prove where she stands! This election is too crucial to allow a usurper steal votes from someone who would work for the people of Nevada.

I am a Nevadan and know that "DINGY HARRY" will do anything to stay in power so don't fall for this ploy, Nevadans!

Well, everything is right on course...anytime you have such a movement as The Tea Party , someone always has to come in and try to disrupt This is living proof that what the Tea Party represents, is the backbone of this country. "THEY" will have to fight long and hard to try and kill this effort. They feel threatened by this movement and will do anything to hinder it. No deal, it WILL NOT happen...we will continue to fight. I say, "leave the premise", Mr Ashijan.

  • Joe Morrone - 16 years ago

    Hello All,

I would prefer to see Mr. Ashijian withdrawl from this race as his Tea Party support is minimal at best and was possibly received through misrepresentation. That being said, I believe that Americans, once awakened to deception are not fooled twice. Further, to actively attempt to force his withdrawl diverts resources from more productive purposes and would be on par with Ms. Brunner's tactics in the Ohio republican primary.

    Hi Guys,

Don't worry we are on to him here in Nevada. Every speach I make will be ended with the comment that he isn't part of the tea party and we need to kick Harry out.

  • mary helen kinsey - 16 years ago

I appreciate your vigilence. The tea party is this country's only hope to bring honest change in our government. Harry Reid must go because his belief system goes against the principles of our founding fathers.

  • Carmelo - 16 years ago

We cannot allow the tea party label to be hijacked by those who would mean harm to us. The campaign of Ashjian has to be stopped asap. Not only Nancy's name, but Harry's as well is written all over this ploy. Lop it off before it's too late.

  • marlon hilyer - 16 years ago

We must be careful. The liberals are desprriate. They will stop at nothing to defeat the conservitive movement. We should look at history.Every time a third party has been tried,it only resulted in spliting not only the republican party, but the conservitive movement as well.We must not allow the liberal democratics to take the helm and steer us into a knee-jerk action that would give them advantages in the up coming elections. No,rather than that,we should look for canidates that believe as we do .Those that follow the belief of small goverment, less intervention, and the constitutional law of, by the people, not by the political entinty that happens to be in power at the time.I believe those canidates will come from the four corners of this country. Not from Washington D.C.I also believe that the canidates that we so much want and need will gravitate to the republican party. So,therefore,we as conservetives, must ,weed out, those we will not have, nourish those we disire, and grow a crop of individuals, that will give continued growth and prosperity to this country. We must be as strong in our convictions as we expect them to be in theirs. We must not send them to Washington,D.C. to defend a nation, then say, what can you do for me,my district,my state. That is what is wrong with the system now.No matter where they are from, they must represent all Americans.

  • dmac - 16 years ago

I would like to hear more about the suit filed in federal court in FL. We may have to do the same.

  • Mack - 16 years ago

Maybe some waterboarding will get him to talk.

  • 4everfree - 16 years ago

Ask the guy to take a lie detector and him is Harry,Nancy or any other ? to find out who is paying off to run. The Demogods are behind this. And once we find out he should be charged with trying to fix an election and the others behind this. He sounds like you buy him. See how much he wants to talk.

  • Angel68 - 16 years ago

True Nevada tea parties should do press releases to all the papers and on the internet disavowing this fraud! Get the word out to the bias media and Fox saying he is not a member of any tea party and is not endorsed by any group.

Getting the announcement out to the general public is one of the most important things.

I bet the "new" ACORN/SEIU are behind him.

  • Norm - 16 years ago

We don't need a third party. Just ask Ross Perot. We need solid constitutional conservatives running as Republicans or we'll never be rid of "Dear Leader Obama" and his cohorts.

  • W - 16 years ago

The only way we will change the corruption in DC is through the primary process. If a candidate if found that the tea party movement wants to get behind then they should run a primary campaign within one of the 2 major parties. As a Perot supporter I have learned my lesson and you should learn from it too.

  • Linda Schappell - 16 years ago

I'm thinking George Soros has some part in this. Probably at the request of Rahm and Barack. It's too bad that whenever there is something good that is working, there is always a spoiler. WE NEED TO DO WHATEVER WE HAVE TO GET THESE PEOPLE OUT OF OFFICE. Our children and grandchildren's future is at stake.

  • Robert L. Garret - 16 years ago

Harry Reed must be defeated and we need to bring every tool at our disposal to curtail anything or anyone that gets in the way of that defeat.

  • Thom - 16 years ago

I see two messages WE (Tea Party folk) should do in these cases, which I think we should expect to see soon in many, many races for office:
1). Show REAL support for the actual candidate who embodies our ideals, and
2). Create a written platform which any candidate who we officially support should ascribe to - IN WRITING. The more specific and clear we can make this pledge, the more easily we can identify those who support our ideals. We are not a party; we are a set of principles - you want to identify with us, identify with our principles.
Our Founders proclaimed such a set of principles in a document called The Declaration of Independence. It's time, in my mind, we write one, too. LONG LIVE LIBERTY AND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!

  • Fritz - 16 years ago

If Tea Parties are by definition and inclination non-partisan and thus refuse to endorse any candidate, Ashjian is by definition dishonest in his claim of Tea Party support. Simple.

  • Lawrence - 16 years ago

the tea party movement should protest ANYONE running as a formal "Tea Party" representative. We are not about political parties, we are about the Constitution being followed. If a tea party person wants to run for partisan office neither as a Republican or Democrat, he should run as an independent and seek tea party support.

  • Emmie - 16 years ago

If an honestly contested race were held today, dirty Harry would lose, big time. We know and understand the deviant nature of the current occupiers, and we know that they are doing everything...anything...within their power to divide and conquer; corruption is part of the air they breathe. Ashjian is suspect and must remain so until proven otherwise. Look what is happening in the Massa debacle? We know there is truth there...somewhere... but how do we weed out the chaff? The left may appear to be self-destructing, but remember, their dirty deeds are clothed in darkness and accomplished behind sealed doors.

  • DON - 16 years ago

I'm a Nevada resident and I'm very aware of this wannabe. I've been spreading the word by internet and word of mouth that this guy (Scott Ashjian) is a fraud. I love the TEA PARTY MOVEMENT! It has awaken me to be more involved and I want Harry Reid OUT OF OFFICE. Keep up the good work American Patriots. We have along road to go and a short time to get there. God Bless us all!!

  • Jimi - 16 years ago

Mobilize the troops in Nevada. This guy is a pawn of Reid's minions and he is smirking the entire time he is on the tube. Clearly the is guy is on the payroll and needs to be shamed out of running. Unreal what these jokers will do but they have a lot of cash. If it was possible to find the connection it would destroy the incumbents across the country.

  • Linda D - 16 years ago

The leading Republican candidates MUST include in their various messages that this faux Tea Party registered in Nevada is in no way affiliated with the Tea Party Movement. When people hear that repeatedly, they will realize this is a ploy to disrupt the election. The Tea Party Movement has acquired a reputation of being comprised largely of conservatives and constitutionalists. Uninformed voters may mistakenly think a "tea party" candidate is the answer to their frustration with the two major political parties. Generally, third party candidates serve only to take votes away from a good candidate; and, we end up with someone we really don't want. Think back to Ross Perot, whose candidacy gave us two terms of Bill Clinton.

  • pk - 16 years ago

Glad we have our Tea Party leaders in Nevada to watch over our interests. Thank you.

I do think that either Scott Ashjian ought to admit he is not really a Tea Partier nor backed by any Tea Party organization, or change his announced affiliations. If he cannot do that, then the REAL Tea Party leaders ought to make a big deal and call for his resignation.

To say it is okay for ANYBODY to run for ANYTHING under false pretenses because of our freedoms is absolutely not so. Look at the troubles we are having now because of that very kind of pretension in the last election. Virtue and honesty by anyone wanting to represent people in our country should be first.

Question: Are our authentic Tea Party groups' names getting copyrighted or whatever.

  • lh - 16 years ago

Thank heaven for the new media to get the word out about Scott Ashjian. We now have access to more information and can make better informed opinions. The TEA demonstrations are a great example. Harry Reid must go.

  • Peggy - 16 years ago

Although I don't like what it appears Scott Ashjian is doing; this is a republic and the decision on what happens to him is up to the voters to decide come Election Day. The Tea Party movement shouldn't get involved in the Chicago style politics by pushing him out. If he is a fraud it will be come know in the way that the people vote. The thing to do is educate the people so they can make an educated vote and not bully people. That type of politics belittles the movement and values I believe we stand for. In other word we need to be the bigger person and make the case for the right candidate for the job and not spend energy on spotlighting the wrong candidate.

  • Nancy - 16 years ago

I agree, if he was truly a Tea Party member he wouldn't go against the goal of defeating Harry Reid by running under a third party line. (Choosing the "tea party label" is deliberate and smells like a plant!) Looking to be a candidate is ok if done thru the normal channels of the two party system. He should run in a primary against other candidates within those two parties! Thanks for all the work to expose this scam! Reid must go!!

  • Eleanor - 16 years ago

Unless a third party candidate is of such true and total conservative magnitude and beyond doubt winnability he/she must be rejected. Just talk with some of us vintage anti-abortion/pro-lifers about trying to get our candidate elected with 2 even so-called pro-life candidates competing. If one doesn't drop out it is almost assured the opposition will somehow win. In this case "dirty" Harry Reid. The one best candidate must be advanced. If both are true to the cause then the least viable should drop or be dropped. Kudos for being on guard. We are dealing with a devious and evil opposition.

  • Linda - 16 years ago

The Dems are desperate and this is another ploy to try and confuse American voters..........HOWEVER, what the "Dims" just can't accept is that AMERICANS ARE SO MUCH SMARTER THAN THEY THINK WE ARE!!! The sleeping giant awoke last year when Socialism came to call and WE AREN'T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE! Liberal, left wingnuts only acknowledge what they want to believe and it's up to US, the American People, to continue to stand up for our freedoms and shout down frauds like this Scott Ashjian.

  • susan - 16 years ago

It's got Nancy written all over it.

  • P.J. Sotorrio - 16 years ago

I agree that we SHOULD NOT BECOME A THIRD PARTY, but bring HONEST CITIZENS to serve in the party of their choice, provided they are fervent believers in the 28 basic principles followed by our Founding Fathers. These principles are well detailed in "THE 5000 YEAR LEAP - Principles of Freedom 101" by W.Cleon Skousen. God Bless Our America.

  • kenDALL HAGAN - 16 years ago

How can we help the Nevada Tea Party folks? I agree he must be bank-rolled by a Dem to get Prince Harry reelected.

  • Bill Melville - 16 years ago

I believe the real Nevada Tea Party needs to deploy a massive media campaign to educate the voting public, exposing this charleton bent on destroying our movement and saving Reid's seat. Seek donations across the Nation; I would definitely pledge my money and support in this endeavor.

  • RWD - 16 years ago

Where has he been all along? What is his voting record? What organizations does he belong too? Was in the sevice, Navy, Army Air Force?

    Lets see his real details!!!

  • CHET - 16 years ago

WAS THE "BOSTON TEA PARTY" A PARTY? NO! A THIRD PARTY IS SIMPLY A SPOILER. WE ARE TO WORK FROM WITHIN TO CHANGE THE EXISTING PARTIES FROM WHAT THEY HAVE BECOME. BECOMING A THIRD PARTY IS WHAT THE STATUS QUO WANTS. IT WILL MEAN THE END TO THE MOVEMENT!

  • Will Grenz - 16 years ago

I would not put it past harry Reid to pull any kind of stunt to keep his high position. However Scott Ashjian should be carefully checked out. He could be a genuine new contender in line with Tea Party objectives. Lets not beat up on him until we determine his true positions.

  • M Steven Gronka - 16 years ago

Can Ashjian be put into a primary situation with a true representative of the Tea Party Movement and thereby be exposed and also be defeated before the election? This would send a strong message to any who would try to deceive the public.

  • Joe Miller - 16 years ago

He seems to be a fraud with a huge ego....like Dale Robertson and the guy from Tea Party Nation, and the Coffee "club" group (I won't even call them tea party). Disruptive and divisive...all.

  • Butch Corcoran - 16 years ago

This candidate is clearly misleading people intentionally. It takes money to mount a campaign, somebody is paying for this. Further, depending on the rules for getting on the ballot, most states require a set number of signatures, his gatherer's may have been misrepresenting the candidate.

If he's bona fide he should be willing to withdraw when asked by the movement to do so. If he is someone's creature then he should be exposed and opposed. I'd suggest full on, banners flying, protests at all his appearances by the real Tea Party movement's members.

  • Frank Kelly - 16 years ago

Scott ASHJIAN is looking for his ten minutes of fame for what ever reason. Which is his right. But he should be formally denounce by the tea party movement.

  • Barry Carson - 16 years ago

In Florida we had a registered Dem. lawyer start a TeaParty Party with our SOS.
The various leaders of the many ligitiment TeaParty groups have filed suit in Federal Court
    to undo his dasterdly deed.
Bottom line Tea Party is a movement NOT A PARTY and anyone claiming and/or running
on a TeaParty Party/Ticket is a Liar and Thief and is to be rejected with Fervor, Period.

  • Carol - 16 years ago

That's a good start, but what if a NEW candidate, a true conservative, who is for the constitution and the republic and against big government and solialistic ideals, decides to run? New, patriots don't HAVE voting records! One GIANT point in their favor would be that they have NOT been a politician!

  • Jan Johnson - 16 years ago

I won't vote for anyone who doesn't have a proven verifyable voting record.
