The principle is reasonable, but a regular medical certificate should be required for ALL drivers, not just professionals, covering at least eyesight. I can understand the doctors fee as he/she has to examine you individually, but I do wonder however, how the DSA justify their charges as it is purely clerical work and only takes a few minutes to copy the info into a computer!

I already have medical every three years for taxi licence which is £95.00 plus bus+lorry £120.00 every five years somthiing is just not right.
