MENTOR???? Adam Lambert may be a good performer...sometimes, but as an "idol", he sucks, which is why he didn't become an American Idol. Having Adam back on idol period is GREAT news..This year idol show is very very boring!!! Each year gets worse. I believe that is why Simon is leaving after this year. Simon must see what the audience sees and hears..I personally think the show is rigged. The best singers never seem to win but yet being in second place they shine more in the end.I beleive Adam will be great this week with the contestants. Hopefully he can make them understand what a performer really should be doing and that they can't just rely on their voices. Adam has the whole package.Looks, personality,confidence,stage performance,and OF Course THE VOCALS. I am 65 and my sister is 72 and we love Adam for his voice and talent as a performer. I did not think Miley helped any of the contestants one bit. As for what he did at the awards show I did think he was wrong and went to far. I don't care if a person is gay but don't ram it down my throat. He did offend many people but he STILL has a lot of talent. I watch anything he is involved in because he has it.

Adam Lambert made last season exciting. He is so talented. His stripped down versions of songs are so beautiful. I can't think of a better mentor than someone who has been through the process. He was verrry popular on tour. These 8 people will be on tour this summer. Do you think that they might have a few questions for Adam? He loves to be helpful and he genuinely cares about people. He was meant to perform so why not share his knowledge and support these kids. He loved helping out the children with donorschoose.org. Talent and a very kind personality along with a hot stage presence. I think that the contestants are going to appreciate that Adam is willing and able to answer their questions and help them in the process of AI. Can't wait to see him again on Idol. Everyone that meets him loves him.

This will be so much fun - Adam can definitely help the kids in many way. And Lio, I don't know what American Idol you're watching, but McCartney didn't mentor last night. He gave a 60-second (if that) pre-taped message to the contestants, basically telling them to have a good time with the music. But you're entitled to your opinion, although opinions are more valued when they're based on accurate information.

I am so excited to see that Adam will be back on AI next week as both a mentor and to sing his latest single. I know he'll be able to offer some good advice to the contestants and liven the place up with some glam. Just what the show needs to give it some pizzazz. He is the shot in the arm Idol needs. I can't wait!! With all his stage experience, on Idol and before, he is the right choice to be a mentor for these new idols. He knows how to perform (not just sing) a song and can help these contestants make their performances alot better. He brings excitement every time he hits the stage with his wonderful voice and captivating manner. I know he can give them the advice and encouragement they need.

Please, he's exactly what this season needs! More than any contestant in Idol history Lambert understands performing, generating excitement and how to interpret music. Of course, he cannot provide them with the vocal agility that he possesses -- his voice is so beautiful and versatile, just perfect for the acrobatics they put them through on Idol (though I have to say, so far this year they've had it awfully easy, maybe because they are so bad, but the Rolling Stones and Lennon and McCartney and R&B -- that's cake compared to past seasons!).
I'm really glad Adam is coming back to Idol. He's a great performer and just what this show needs this season.

This will be so much fun - Adam can definitely help the kids in many way. And Lio, I don't know what American Idol you're watching, but McCartney didn't mentor last night. He gave a 60-second (if that) pre-taped message to the contestants, basically telling them to have a good time with the music. But you're entitled to your opinion, although opinions are more valued when they're based on accurate information.

Just great. A tongue sucking, male crotch sniffing singer put into the same class as Usher and McCartney to mentor these new kids on the block. Sort of like having a sex pervert babysit your kids while your at home with them but in the next room.

He is well qualified to be a mentor. He is very much an experienced performer - He started performing on stage at a young age. What more can one ask? Who has had those years of experience other than the Jacksons and the Osmonds? Adam Lambert.

I am so excited he will be mentor next week. What an awesome choice! The show for me has been kind of on the dull side so far, so this will make watching next week a lot more interesting and exciting.
I am so excited to see that Adam will be back on AI next week as both a mentor and to sing his latest single. I know he'll be able to offer some good advice to the contestants and liven the place up with some glam. Just what the show needs to give it some pizzazz. Haven't really been paying much attention to this season's AI but will definitely be glued to my set on 4/13 and 4/14. Rock it, Adam!

I won't be watching idol that night. I cant stand Adam...after his stunt at the awards...he makes me sick at my stomach!!!
i say if adam wants to after the grueling tour he has been on, then that should say what kind of person he is..he has been singing in shows since he was a child and is an excellent actor...he has a magnificent voice and a beautiful demeanor so what better person to do the job...go adam i will be watching....yay at last youre home again...hugs and kisses
He is the shot in the arm Idol needs. I can't wait!! With all his stage experience, on Idol and before, he is the right choice to be a mentor for these new idols. He knows how to perform (not just sing) a song and can help these contestants make their performances alot better. He brings excitement every time he hits the stage with his wonderful voice and captivating manner. I know he can give them the advice and encouragement they need.
Please, he's exactly what this season needs! More than any contestant in Idol history Lambert understands performing, generating excitement and how to interpret music. Of course, he cannot provide them with the vocal agility that he possesses -- his voice is so beautiful and versatile, just perfect for the acrobatics they put them through on Idol (though I have to say, so far this year they've had it awfully easy, maybe because they are so bad, but the Rolling Stones and Lennon and McCartney and R&B -- that's cake compared to past seasons!).
FINALLY, a highlight for season nine !!!
