I have accounts on LibraryThing, Shelfari and Goodreads. I originally used Library Thing, but most of my friends used GoodReads, so I decided to switch. I like the looks visually of Shelfari and use it for my State Awards nominees on my webpage. I have several shelves om GoodReads and use this widget on my main library webpage to keep track of new books in the library. I see the advantages of all 3, but will stick with GoodReads.

I have enjoyed making a Shelfari account. I have looked at Library Thing before, but decided that I'd try the Shelfari. I'm not sure if I'd want to imbed Library Thing to our catalog. Are there drawbacks to doing this???
I also have more than 200 books in my own collection and don't want to be limited to Library Things limit. Does Shelfari have any?
Thanks for all the work you did to make us browse social book listing!

I tried GoodReads, Shelfari, and LibraryThing. Of the three, I think GoodReads has the most to offer. Library Thing has some navigation issues. Shelfari is easy, but I like GoodReads features better.

I set up a Shelfari account. I looked at the others but they seemed either really close to what I wanted but they would be missing a feauture that Shelfari provided for free. I am excited about using this in the future to keep my records in the "cloud".

I set up Shelfari and LibraryThing accounts. I think Shelfari was easier to set up and also easier to use. The site is not as cluttered as LibraryThing.
I tried Goodreads a while back, but I like Shelfari better. It's easy to follow and has pictures. :)

I started using Shelfari several months ago and really like how easy it was to set up and use. I had been looking for an application to keep track of all the books I've read and the ones I want to read. It is a handy reminder for me.

I like Shelfari for a personal use. I like how it is setup visually better. We use Librarything at work.

I chose Google Books so I wouldn't have to set up another account with another site. I do like the look of Shelfari. My husband uses it often.
