I'm afraid you have made it impossible for me to vote on the issue of the Princess Royal's upcoming visit to St. John's. You see, by completely ignoring the reason the her visit, you have used the occasion to once again polarize people on merely the pros and cons of monarchy. As you know, her visit here is to honour the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and all that the regiment has done for Newfoundlanders and Labradorian, an issue near and dear to our people. To ignore that fact in your survey choices denies us the opportunity to express our feeling about this particular visit, while at the same time polarizing us yet again in a pro/anti monarchy vote. Shame on you.

Once again CBC has missed the whole point in its desire to make its own news. You well know that the visit is to honour the Royal Newfoundland Regiment and its members both past and present in various activities this week. You make no mention of this in your "poll".
