I saw a shrink once (actually three or four times), it was the worst experience of my life. My psychologist suggested it to better manage medication, and so that I had a "back up" if she wasn't around. All he did was make me feel worse and trigger all sorts of stuff (he made sexualised comments about and to me). I needed additional support from the psychologist after every appointment with the shrink, which seemed to defeat the purpose of going, so I stopped. It was the best decision I ever made.
