This is AMERICA and the American flag represents us as a sovereign nation as all other nations are represented by their flag. Just because we have a Marxist in the White House that is selling us down the river, doesn't mean we have to bow down to him (which I will NEVER do).

Why does it have to be all about the Hispanics....we spend our time and money educating and packaging to this language while the Asians, Croations, Albanians, Germans, and multiples of other cultures come to America and comply with everything the flag stands for. Perhaps the most offending part of the flag is that the Hispanics will not fold to honor anything other than their own homeland which is quite noble but at the same time not putting food on their table or clothes on their back. Each and every immigrant whether legal or not came to America to reap the benefits of the ways of the melting pot. We have come onto a proud (arrogant) generation that does not get the whole picture and are rapidly depleting what should be shared with others by sending it to family members across borders without proper taxing. This is lost revenue that will never come back to the US. I end with porque en espanol en Estados Unidos...no hables Englis por me en Mexico! I am third generation German and proud to comply and share the assets of the United States of America with all who deserve...this is not about "me" this is about "we". There is not ANY nationality in the United States of America other than American that deserves any word toward constitution, religion, finances. Let's spend our time sorting out those that are here to serve all or those who are here to serve only themselves. I know there are many residents that have lived in the same places for many years...let's see what their plans of becoming naturalized citizens are before we try not to hurt their feelings by displaying the essence of what surrounds them.

Every School should be required to have all students say the pledge of allegience and our National Anthem played over the school intercom system everyday. Those students that wish to not participate should sit quietly. Their names should be posted on a Display of Shame for un -American behavoir. They should not be allowed to participate in any school sports programs. They should also not be permitted to recieve any scholorships funded by tax supported orginizations.

Why are they here if they don't want to honor our flag? If they don't like what the Flag stands for in our country, they are FREE (the emphasis) to go back to the country they came from. I would not go to another country and not honor their flag. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Why should we take down OUR flag in OUR country? Our flag is the biggest symbol of what our country stands for, FREEDOM. If someone doesn't like it then they have the freedom to move out. Being one in the military and serving/protecting our country, I take this as an enormous slap in the face as well as many others. We did not raise our hands as we swore allegiance to THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA just to see someone take it down so it would stop offending people in OUR COUNTRY. And this goes true with The Pledge of Allegiance. These are both things our country was built upon including the Constitution and Bill of Rights. If we allow people to take these away from us then we should just roll over and let everyone else walk on us. I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! I have lost friends because they were defending our flag and standing for what they believe in and I know their death was not vain. As for George Soros, he is NOT an AMERICAN. Buying up firearm and ammunition companies so he can stop selling to the American people is against the 2nd amendment. There is a reason why our founding fathers made that our 2nd amendment. I am so very sorry our grandchildren and great grandchildren will not know life in America as we used to know it (I am 80). Too many people who do not understand or could care less (unless they are getting freebies). We retired at age 71, paid all our taxes as "ordered" through our working years and every time I hear FOX say 50% of the population does not pay taxes, I am appalled as we did what we were told to do and paid maximum taxes for many years.

I'm an elementary teacher in WA state. We proudly say the pledge every day and my class is currently nearly 50% Hispanic. In June on Flag Day we learn the importance and history of our flag and pledge of allegiance and enjoy looking at flags around the world.
When I taught at a school in Mexico I was a part of their tradition of singing their national anthem once a week as well as their "state song" for that particular city. The school had several students of American heritage and not one complained. I felt proud even that I could participate in that country's patriotism!

The poll wording could have been more descriptive in defining purpose.
The flag has been a symbol of American Heritage and any effort to remove, abuse or defame its' Status and Blood Stained Preservation must be interpreted as an act of hate and dealt with both severely and appropriately.

Every School should be required to have all students say the pledge of allegience and our National Anthem played over the school intercom system everyday. The free education the children are given is provided by the money from the American
citizens. The flag serves to remind students of that and if they object to having the flag
flying at schools, they should be sent back to Mexico with their illegal parents.

When did that flag suddenly become one under which the likes of President Obama and his motley crue deemed unnoteworthy? I find pride in our flag and for which it stands--and anyone who doesn't needs to leave the country immediately, where they can salute their flag of choice. We don't need them here. I want our country back. Ban Obama.
The flag is flown for the United Stated of America & if you don't like it there is a simple solution- Leave the United States of America & return to the country of your choice but don't come into the United States of America & expect us to change because you left your country and came to the United States of America & are offended by our flag. How would you like it if we went to your home country & expected them to change their flag because I am a United States of America citizen. It wouldn't happen, so why do we have to accomodate?

The American flag should fly forever....sorry if anyone is offended but there are many other flags and many other countries people can choose from so go for it..maybe if the government offered a one way plane tickets to other countries we could get rid of some that are offended. Where is it going to stop? Maybe we need to end the presidency, too, and put in a dictatorship. That's what Obama wants anyway. This is the United States of America. If someone doesn't like our flag, our language, our religions, let them go back to their own country or to someplace that agrees with them...maybe Iraq or Iran...think they'd get away with this nonsense there? I don't think so! They'd be in the arena getting their heads cut off. Maybe we should try that at the Superdome. Think we could get away with that? I'm so tired of everyone trying to change what America has fought and died for since 1776. I wonder how many of those who are advocating this even know the significance of that that date. How many can finish this statement: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America..."? God help us! God bless America!
Has everyone gone nuts? Ban our flag? Whoever came up with this idea should be tarred and feathered and anyone uncomfortable with the flag and all it stands for should perhaps get out of the country. These people are probably here collecting monies from the government and teaching their children languages other than English.

I served for our Government for 36+ years and I don't understand why a poll like this should even be started. If anyone dislikes seeing the American Flag while in this country, they should leave and go some place they deem is better for their beliefs.

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Why should we take down OUR flag in OUR country? Our flag is the biggest symbol of what our country stands for, FREEDOM. If someone doesn't like it then they have the freedom to move out. Being one in the military and serving/protecting our country, I take this as an enormous slap in the face as well as many others. We did not raise our hands as we swore allegiance to THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA just to see someone take it down so it would stop offending people in OUR COUNTRY. And this goes true with The Pledge of Allegiance. These are both things our country was built upon including the Constitution and Bill of Rights. If we allow people to take these away from us then we should just roll over and let everyone else walk on us. I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS! I have lost friends because they were defending our flag and standing for what they believe in and I know their death was not vain. As for George Soros, he is NOT an AMERICAN. Buying up firearm and ammunition companies so he can stop selling to the American people is against the 2nd amendment. There is a reason why our founding fathers made that our 2nd amendment. This man also stated "The United States sets the agenda for the world. And the rest of the world has to respond to that agenda. By declaring a 'war on terror' after September 11, we set the wrong agenda for the world." September 11th 2001 brought this country together and had someone tried to take down our flag in our schools then, they would have gotten the same answer from everyone that I'm giving now. ABSOLUTELY NOT. George Soros and every other person that vote yes to ban the American Flag I have this to tell you. If you want to take down our flag at our schools and for our children not say the Pledge of Allegiance, or to tell the American people "you cannot own a gun and I don't care if it's in your Constitution". Then get out of OUR country or suck it up and deal with it. We are the United States of America and we are a free country.

My dad served his country for two years in Korea on the DMZ, I think the flag is something to be treasured and honored along with our military men and women who are serving now. Weve already taken God out of everything , now the flag too. Whats this country coming to!!

I am so very sorry our grandchildren and great grandchildren will not know life in America as we used to know it (I am 80). Too many people who do not understand or could care less (unless they are getting freebies). We retired at age 71, paid all our taxes as "ordered" through our working years and every time I hear FOX say 50% of the population does not pay taxes, I am appalled as we did what we were told to do and paid maximum taxes for many years.
As a retired school teacher, I find the thought of removing our flag from schools abhorrent!
I spent many years teaching respect for this flag, our country, our veterans, and our princiles.
If we fail to teach respect for American ideals and values, we will lose this generation.

I'm an elementary teacher in WA state. We proudly say the pledge every day and my class is currently nearly 50% Hispanic. In June on Flag Day we learn the importance and history of our flag and pledge of allegiance and enjoy looking at flags around the world.
When I taught at a school in Mexico I was a part of their tradition of singing their national anthem once a week as well as their "state song" for that particular city. The school had several students of American heritage and not one complained. I felt proud even that I could participate in that country's patriotism!
Who's country is this? This is America! We fought to be able to fly our flag. If the hispanics are offended, let them go back to Mexico. They don't deserve to be in this country if they get offended by our flag and they are attending our schools. Send them home.

The poll wording could have been more descriptive in defining purpose.
The flag has been a symbol of American Heritage and any effort to remove, abuse or defame its' Status and Blood Stained Preservation must be interpreted as an act of hate and dealt with both severely and appropriately.
This is The United States of America and our Independence will be respected by all or they may go where society suits their preference. No change here is acceptable.
