What has this country come to that we even have to participate in a poll to honor our flag.
Let those who would deny the display of our flag go back to wherever they came from. This is our country, paid for by the blood and labor of honest immigrants who came here to seek a better life for their families and who then became citizens who love this country.

Are you out of your mind? Our flag represents our freedom, country, liberty and way of life. If you are in this country illegaly and are sucking the financial life out of our social systems, then you are at war with the people of the USA. If you attack America either financially or with military weapons, you have declared war on America. Respect our laws and flag or get the hell out. Maybe soon enough we will have representatives to wake up and realize that we have been attacked from within for years and will no longer passively sit by. The United States of America was formed with God as our leader, English as our language, and ole Red, White and Blue as our NATIONAL flag. I was raised in the US Army as my father served this country for 25 years, fighting in WWII, Vietnam and the Korean Conflict to name a few. My husband and my brother also served in the service, Air Force and Army respectively. I have no issue in anyone trying to better themselves by coming to the USA regardless of their race, however, if you do choose to come here, You need to learn our national language - which is English, salute our national flag and live by the same rules that all citizens are required to live by. I personally would love it if everyone also based their lives and followed our God and savior, Jesus Christ. But I know this is America and we do have the freedom of religion - regardless of how foreign it seems to me. We have a great country, one I choose to live in and have no aspirations of living in another country. I know we have our problems, and things are a little tough right now. But I don't understand why people come to the USA to live "the good life" and then start complaining about our standards and morals, trying to inflict their old country's beliefs and so on. If you don't like it here, then go back where you came from - that is your choice. But if you do choose to live here, be an American and support the basics that made us the best nation in the world. Why do people move to the United States in the first place? I'm sure there are many reasons but the main reason- to start a new life. Why then do people expect the United States to change everything that makes us Americans? America bends over backwards to encompass all nationalities- we're the "melting pot" right? When do we say- enough? It's the United States of America- we run out country a certain way we certainly wouldn't go to Mexico or France and demand our needs satisfied- that's what makes each country unique! There is no reason (law) that denies an individual or local institution the privilege of choosing not to fly the flag. If flying one poses a danger, exercise your choice. "Banning" the display of any flag is a violation of constitutional rights as determined during the efforts to ban the "Confederate" flag.

Something similar happened in Sweeny Texas. The students were asked to rise for the, if I am not mistaken, the Pledge or the Star Spangled Banner. Two students refused to stand. They were told to stand then. Their parents, I think muslim, were at the school as fast as possible! Then came the ACLU and they gave an ultimatum that Sweeny High School had to come up with a plan for students who did NOT want to stand for, lets say the Pledge! The ACLU informed Sweeny ISD that they could face sever problems if they did not come up with a plan to cater to those who refuse to stand. I think because of the threat of lawsuits, Sweeny came up with a policy. Just shows you that the ACLU, and I believe that the A should be removed from this organization, is anti-Christian, American as they come!

Now this is a prime example of why we need to close the borders. Send the illeagls home. They have no respect for our country because they are here illeagly. Those that came here throughout history have studied what it means to be an American. They understand why America is great and the US flag flies high everywhere in America. The only thing that should be banned is the people that voted to ban the flag. I'm not sure when the "entitled" will come to realize what they are supporting but the pendulum has really swung too far in the wrong direction. If the Muslims and Mexicans are so unhappy with life in the US, I would accept their immediate return to their countries. They do not belong here if they are unwilling to pledge allegiance. Without the freeloading unhappy intruders, this country will start to heal.

This is outrageous!! America has always stood as freedom, yet, more and more it seems to be disappearing. If we were to go to any other country, we would be required to learn their language and culture and to embrace it while there. I lived in Europe for many years and had no problem at all accepting their way of life. Their flags few over their buildings and in their schools. As a foreigner, I had no problem with that whatsoever and it would have been a great insult to their culture and society if I had complained, so I did not.
By the same token, foreigners living in the USA should also have no problem with the American Flag flying anywhere within the borders of this nation.. they are after all, guests of the American People.
If they are naturalized, then they are AMERICAN anyway.

There are too many people in this country who have no allegiance to our country. They are just here for what our country can give them. They don't assimilate, learn English or respect our country. They send what they earn here back to their old country. That doesn't help our economy. It certainly doesn't feel like the great, proud Christian country we were when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, but it is still the greatest country in the world. Our flag should never be banned. I a m shocked that someone would even think of such a thing. It would be a great disrespect not only to our founding fathers, citizens and more so for our soldiers alive or deceased who fought for it.

I'm a disabled vet wounded in defending what our flag once stood for and for what it should still stand for today! I have dear friends and family who have died for those same values. The US Flag still stands for God, Country, Freedom, Morality, Security, etc. I'm also convinced that the majority of true Americans still hold to those beliefs. I am sorry , but this has gotten totally out of control. This Country was claimed and fought for a long time ago and built on the lives of our ancestors. THoes who came here worked for the freedom and peace that made this Country great. We opened our arms to help those in need and earned the respect of the world for the compassion that had been shown. Time to stop playing games. Close the borders as the other countries do. You don't see much on the news about any other country having problems with people crossing their borders illegally, defacing their flag, sucking up all the goodies, then raping and killing the providers. Yet here we sit e-mailing each other back and forth about what should be done, while actually doing nothing productive. Remember the 60s (some of you do) where sit-ins, marches, and such made the administration listen. When are we going to come to our senses again and put these people out. Also, the "leaders" in Washington need to accompany them. I'm all for having everyone leave if they don't like the rules. Go live in Europe, Russia, or better yet, China and Korea.

My Father was wounded three times in WW1 for his adopted country, his brother died as a result of WW 11 and I and my two brothers served honorably for the U.S. and the Flag representing it. I fly one 24-7 and will dare anyone to deface it. My 2 sons honor what it stands for and I well believe most people in rhis country. Children are taught Love as well hate.

I'm going to school to be a diver. When there is a diver in the water the American Flag is raised over the Dive Flag. I believe we have the right to raise any flag we choose so long as the American Flag is above any other. That is the freedom of this country and the respect to anyone who has died protecting it. Why do people move to the United States in the first place? I'm sure there are many reasons but the main reason- to start a new life. There is no reason (law) that denies an individual or local institution the privilege of choosing not to fly the flag. If flying one poses a danger, exercise your choice. "Banning" the display of any flag is a violation of constitutional rights as determined during the efforts to ban the "Confederate" flag.

Something similar happened in Sweeny Texas. The students were asked to rise for the, if I am not mistaken, the Pledge or the Star Spangled Banner. Two students refused to stand. They were told to stand then. Their parents, I think muslim, were at the school as fast as possible! Then came the ACLU and they gave an ultimatum that Sweeny High School had to come up with a plan for students who did NOT want to stand for, lets say the Pledge! The ACLU informed Sweeny ISD that they could face sever problems if they did not come up with a plan to cater to those who refuse to stand. I think because of the threat of lawsuits, Sweeny came up with a policy. Just shows you that the ACLU, and I believe that the A should be removed from this organization, is anti-Christian, American as they come!

I'm not sure when the "entitled" will come to realize what they are supporting but the pendulum has really swung too far in the wrong direction. If the Muslims and Mexicans are so unhappy with life in the US, I would accept their immediate return to their countries. They do not belong here if they are unwilling to pledge allegiance. Without the freeloading unhappy intruders, this country will start to heal.
This is the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA in which we all come from a different heritage. The only flag is the Stars & Stripes Forever!! If they want a Mexico flag, go to Mexico, fly it at their home and leave our flag alone!! Too many have died for this flag. It would be like defaceing their graves!
This is outrageous!! America has always stood as freedom, yet, more and more it seems to be disappearing. If we were to go to any other country, we would be required to learn their language and culture and to embrace it while there. So why is it that because different cultures migrate here, (both legally and illegally) and they throw a stink about being discriminated against(more hogwash than anything) we are so willing to throw away OUR culture. Learn ours and embrace it. I'm tired of America being the laughing stock it has turned into. Time to take charge again and bring back the power of equality that we once offered as salvation.
I have had friends and family die for this flag and they didn't die for some baby raping, dunk driving, benefit stealing, border jumping burden's on society. I could care less what Mexico or how hispanics feel about being offended. I'll care when they grow some balls and over throw that oligarchy they call a government and create their own country and economy.
I lived in Europe for many years and had no problem at all accepting their way of life. Their flags few over their buildings and in their schools. As a foreigner, I had no problem with that whatsoever and it would have been a great insult to their culture and society if I had complained, so I did not.
By the same token, foreigners living in the USA should also have no problem with the American Flag flying anywhere within the borders of this nation.. they are after all, guests of the American People.
If they are naturalized, then they are AMERICAN anyway.

There are too many people in this country who have no allegiance to our country. They are just here for what our country can give them. They don't assimilate, learn English or respect our country. They send what they earn here back to their old country. That doesn't help our economy. It certainly doesn't feel like the great, proud Christian country we were when I was growing up in the 50's and 60's, but it is still the greatest country in the world. Keep that beautiful flag flying.

I'm a disabled vet wounded in defending what our flag once stood for and for what it should still stand for today! I have dear friends and family who have died for those same values. The US Flag still stands for God, Country, Freedom, Morality, Security, etc. I'm also convinced that the majority of true Americans still hold to those beliefs. The American (United States of America) flag should not be banned anywhere in the United States of America. It is the MEXICAN flag that should be banned. Flying any flag above the American flag should be a crime. Flying another flag above an improperly displayed i.e. upside down American should be deported immediately.

My Father was wounded three times in WW1 for his adopted country, his brother died as a result of WW 11 and I and my two brothers served honorably for the U.S. and the Flag representing it. I fly one 24-7 and will dare anyone to deface it. My 2 sons honor what it stands for and I well believe most people in rhis country. Children are taught Love as well hate.

I'm going to school to be a diver. When there is a diver in the water the American Flag is raised over the Dive Flag. I believe we have the right to raise any flag we choose so long as the American Flag is above any other. That is the freedom of this country and the respect to anyone who has died protecting it.
