How did I avoid distractions? I moved. Yep. Four years ago I left my beach house in Huntington Beach, CA--brought my hubby with me--and moved on a pond in South Carolina where the livin' is easy. Why move, you ask? I needed to finish my novel and I had too many friends and fun places to go--all the time! I just finished my novel, and now I'm trying to focus on writing a query letter, which is hard now that I have such wonderful southern friends. Oh, gotta go...I'm taking a van load of girlfriends to my buddy's book signing!
