Having read the article, I believe that many of the comments have been taken out of context. Yes, this is from a journalist given unrestricted access, but it reads to me as if the journalist was sitting in the back of the plane or "bar" in paris listening to people vent. Are you telling me that the VPOTUS or POTUS don't vent on certain people or topics? The problem is that there was a journalist present. I am hoping that the 20 min meeting was a slap on the wrist and a realization that McChrystal is really the only person capable of winning this war! If he goes so does our chance of winning this war!

It is shocking there are some who think a man who is supposedly defending freedom, is not free himself to speak his mind or give freedom to the press that follows him. General McChrystal's job is to win the war in Afghanistan not to suck up to his political masters. He seems to be doing a great job of leading the Afghan war. I don't particularly care that he let slip certain well known public and non-classified truths about the President.
