Love the desire by the way, ANAND, stop being such a fanboy, I mean you got at least half of the comments here. Anyways honesty I think desire is better then x10, I'm not saying its bad cause come on, IT'S SWEDISH
I own the x10a, and it's an awesome device, Love the display and SE's skin overlay on android but 1.6 doesn't matter to me.

What's more amusing though is that people against the SE are flaming them for being fanboys, without even considering whether HTC lovers are in fact fanboys themselves? It's fanboy vs fanboy, not enough people truly take time to test each phone in detail!
You wrote that blatant flame attack with childish lines, spelling, punctuation and insults including possibly the oldest and most lame variations of Luke and you say I HAVE ISSUES?

Hello all u SE fanboys losers..... m sure all SE and nokia fanboys are used to people making fun of u and then in reply u start using abusive languages and say 1 thing in may diff ways... man that loser Puke Luke has issues....
First to all those SE and Nokia disillusion people they dont give realy updated to their phone SE hasnt even gone public to say they will actually give an update.... they launched X10 After the Motorola droid which was on 2.0 and with HTC desire which was on 2.1 and now its on 2.2.... times scape media escape..... these are just excuses....
I am sorry apple fanboys bully u guys alot but thats no excuse for sulking for the rest of your life so what HTC Motorola samsung and apple launch way way cooler phones and upgrade them time to time.....
n i know all this coz i used SE phones B4 they are always outdated from the day they are launched and do not upgrade them even if their phones have the hardware to take it....
if u dont belive me tell me why X1 n X2 are not on winmo 6.5 and why not none of their phone will be getting S^3 SO LONG LOSERS
@MAC - you don't sound like you even need a mobile phone, more like one of those Blackberry's whose sole use is purely for work and business coz everything else on them sucks. Just a thought, they might not be what you need.
Which apps aren't installing because of 1.6? I use a lot of apps on my phone and none have come up with 2.1 issues, and even if they did, in a months time we'll have 2.1 anyway. Most people I've heard that have issues with 2.1 not been around are playing games on their mobile phone. Now fair enough if you like games that's an issue but I've got a PC for games, why would I want to waste time playing silly games on a mobile? Choosing between WoW or Left 4 Dead and Bejeweled and Robo Defense isn't really a contest!
WLan bug? Sounds pretty specific to your needs, Wi-Fi works fine with me, same with the 3G and even then that's dependant on location and network carrier rather than the phone.
Mediascape slow? In what way? If you're expecting things to be instant, then don't use a mobile phone, coz frankly I see little difference in speed between a HTC and an X10, both are pretty fast phones. Timescape started a little fuzzy yes, but a quick update resolved that issue.
And dodgy support lines, mate, have you dealt with phone companies before? There is no such thing as a good phone techincal support/information line. They all suck, whatever carrier network you're on, and even whatever phone company. A friend of mine can't get anywhere with the Iphone support, I've tried HTC and they are bad, and yes SE aren't good either, but that's support lines for you, they're designed to be bad!
In the end the only niggle is the in call loudspeaker as you say. Ok, it's an issue but only a situational one and most people these days text rather than call anyone personal and I work in a professional setting and use the office phone. To be honest most clients have worse issues with their mobiles! :P But then again, this is something that an update will have to take care of, it's a pain we have to wait but then at least it's one that can be sorted, unlike the HTC Desire where they can't really improve the camera on it and do very much with their music player.
You say we're fanboys of the X10, you'll get them, just like with Iphone and HTC. I see people going googly-eyed over the HTC just coz the homescreens look pretty! Whoopie you have a weather app that changes the screen, big whoop, as long as one tells me the dam weather and wind speed/direction for when I'm out on my bike I'm happy! Besides I prefer the look screen wise of the X10 - funky blueness over multicoloured art decor! :P

I´m impressed. And like on the other forums, SE fanboys which use their phone only for posing, and not for work overall.
If you had to use your X10 for work everyday, with bluetooth connection that does not work the right way(because of1.6) with Wlan bug (UniversityHotspot) with apps not to install (because 1.6), with mediascape slow like a snail(because of whatever)with not possible to phone in louder surroundings(because of X10s loudspeaker or whatever) and with a support that does not know anything, even the xperia hotline workers are not informed enough.
But lord have Timescape and fanboys so everything is perfect, now i´m voting for the X10...

SE X10! The HTC is a good phone, no doubt about it, but it's more of an all rounder phone, doesnt really do anything special, it's just good at the general stuff. Although it's music player and camera are a bit lacklustre which put me off it.
The SE X10 has it's niggles yes, as does all phones, but the majority of them will be resolved with an Android upgrade and to be honest that's Android, not the phone itself, which considering it's on 1.6 has done a brilliant job with it's interface. Who cares about live wallpaper anyway, big whoop! The screen is gorgeous, it doesn't lag for me, the camera is fantastic (i've had some quality shots of landscapes in the sun) and the music player is nice with it's easy album art function and user friendly Mediascape. Timescape is more of a gimmick but a nice touch and nicer to use/look at than HTC's boring Friendstream.
I'd still pick the SE over the HTC and once Android gets upgraded it will only become better with smoother performance, improved apps and HD video!

Well I own one and it does not lag, while my above comment already says what it can do. I guess you should not just read but also try to run little part of your brain. Would be nice, isn't it? lol

You are talking about Android.
Here we are talking about X10 and Desire.
X10 has a better design, 4'inch screen, better camera than all the Android phones, Timescape and mediascape and so on.
If you got anything eles besides talking about 1.6. Let me know!
if SE would bring the 2.1 and the 2.2 update then i will vote for the X10, but the X10 with 1.6, thats ridiculous.
