Yes, I think it is rude for people to answer or check their phone at the dinner table.

It is easier to text someone accross the room than talk to them.

No, If I didn't look at my phone every 20 min I wouldn't be able to keep tabs on my Facebook friends

I don't need a smart PHONE, just a smart device such as ipad
