If all the atoms in the Universe were compressed into a disk the size of the Universe, how thick would it be?
Just one atom thick. Maybe less.
The size of a large molecule: hundreds of atoms thick.
A single-celled lifeform's size: just under a millimeter.
The size of a dog: around a meter.
The size of a small, rocky planet: thousands of km.
The size of a large, Sun-like object: nearly a million km.
The size of a planet's orbit: hundreds of millions of km.
Much larger than any of these: on the scale of a light-year or more.
