If you have K3 problems and haven't contacted CS, why not?
Some problems are to be expected
I fixed it myself (through a restart, for example)
I'm afraid they'll want me to send it back & I don't want to be without it
I figure a software update will fix it
Somebody else told me how to fix it (blog, forum)
I can't figure out how to contact Kindle Customer Service
I've had bad experiences with Amazon Customer Service before
