When advancement and human life become mutually contradictory, the libido may yet persist -- with the relevance of bee mating patterns.

... in fact, social bonding doesn't mean the same today as it did in the past, though it is difficult to say-- this is one hell of a transitional phase we're in. But I do know that though sex is human & transhuman, there is no connection between sex and posthumanism. This is not to reject sex, but also to say that the bodily reproductive function of sex should not be sanctified; as it then becomes religious rather than spiritual (whatever spiritual may be).

Don't get it, why would posthumans be interested in primate reproduction? transhumans, yes; but posthumans? it wouldn't be sex anymore, it would be something else: it would be post-sex.
"No, because it plays a role in social bonding that matters as much as its reproductive effect", doesn't make sense IMO, because social bonding wont have the same meaning in the distant future; not at all.

Sex is absolutely noble, the idea that it is somehow ignoble comes from ancient and outdated religions. sex if fun, exciting, and gives us a purpose to life, an activity to have fun with an enjoy. Our libido is what makes us human, is what gives us passion. To erase it is to erase the purpose and the soul of humanity. Such an action is not just sick but unthinkable. I can not even imagine why anybody would want to live in such a world. If anything the libido will be enhanced and expanded, I image once we have cured and vaccinated against all STIs and religion becomes less of a factor that sex will be a bigger part of our lives. Perhaps even routine orgies a part of life. Plus it is vitally important to maintain our ability to reproduce in case of disaster. Any answer aside from "hell no" to this question is not only unfathomably ridiculous, but prude and disgusting, pathetic and short sighted.

IMO the opposite, h+ is enhanced humanness; posthuman goes beyond humanness, sex is many positive things, however ''noble'' isn't one of them-- in a word, sex is surplus to requirements.
