This is just a wake up call for all you angry geeks getting upset over this poll. Get a life. It is just a popularity contest, I voted for Galaxy S because that is my phone, I've never even used an Evo. Besides, why in the hell do you care if someone tells you Phone A is better than your phone, Phone B? As long as you are happy with it then why should you care?
I voted for the Evo but the poll is just a popularity contest. Most Evo owners are biased just as most Galaxy S owners. You usually vote for the device you are familiar with period. If the Evo loses, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. who cares.
@Jack - Well it boils down to what you think of this poll...is it a popularity contest or voting for the best device..I'm sure Samsung is a POS company when making cell phone, that said as a long time HTC user same can be said about HTC. There is no company that is an Angel..they are all in on it for the money...
As for estebancam comment, you can't assume that he thinks its about the Epic...its more particularly he TRIED the Epic and the EVO and thinks the Epic is better..since the Epic is similar to the Galaxy S hardware wise he chose it. Think of that possibility?
I mean I have a TP2 and if there was a poll about Tilt2 vs Diamond 2..I'd vote for Tilt2..cause its similar to my TP2...the results would be the same no matter how you look at it..

@Arion - It doesn't matter what kind of customization the phone receives. It's still considered a galaxy S phone. The poll states, Evo vs Galaxy S. And if i wasn't clear enough, read the comment by estebancam, he assumed automatically that the galaxy s was referring to the epic, and the same probably happened when vibrant, captivate, and fascinate users saw it. they automatically assumed it was talking about their phone, not the i9000
hence the poll is flawed.
But who cares, samsung is a POS company when it comes to making phones.
Ok you are missing the point..its like saying putting up a Touch Pro 2 is unfair because...it contains International TP2, Sprint TP2, Verizon TP2, Tilt 2, Wing 2...aka putting CDMA and GSM aside its same device with a different cover..simple as that..if it were up to samsung they would release same Galaxy S in the US, but carriers wanted their "customizations" which in turn made most of them semi worse...
Either way the picture is of the i9000 and that is what the vote is for..but obviously people who own the Vibrant, Captivate, Epic and Fascinate will support it either way.
Or should I say its unfair that this side is not translated into korean so that the 1 million korean Galaxy S can vote as well?
Overall though..tell em one thing the EVO has over the Galaxy S that makes a somewhat difference?
I have an evo. But i am voting fir galaxy s. Samsung epic beats my evo in almost every way. Much, much better device.
To the post above Galaxy S is a series of phones over multiple carries. Of course you will get extra votes due to this. I've played with all the Galaxy S phones there all have a very nice screen but for the true android base these phones have a I-phone overlay which attract Iphone users. This was a great thing samsung did to try and pull some of these Iphone users that only have them because there Iphone. I agree with the other post to give a true winner you should have specified one Galaxy S phone instead of having people from 4 carriers voting on it vs one phone 1 carrier.
The Galaxy S is one phone..the only unique phone is the Epic which is a Galaxy S Pro...In the picture it is that of a i9000 which is the generic variant of the Galaxy S and this is what the EVO is facing against...the US versions of the Galaxy S such as the Vibrant and AT&T gain 1 extra button and loose the front camera..aka its all carrier customizations.
So again this poll is i9000 vs EVO simple as that...
And it is not a surprise that Galaxy S is winning because ANY Galaxy S phone > EVO..at least hardware wise.
sorry man, i just can't let this go, its too funny. if you really want to make all of the galaxy S phones ONE PHONE, then maybe you should make all of the droids ONE PHONE haha, or maybe, all the blackberrys as one phone, or all the palm phones, or even better, all of the Android phones should just be one category, up against everything else. i bet you had a poll with Android vs iOS, hmm i wonder who won hahaha. these aren't even fair fights. Maybe you should list them as a joke cause thats what they are.
chose one of the galaxy S phones to put it up against and you might have a better idea of which one is best. nice try though
are you serious? this isn't even fair, haha, the fact that the galaxy S isn't blowing out the Evo shows that the Evo is the better phone! The evo is on ONE network! the galaxy s isnt even one phone, its multiple phones on different carriers, at least 4 in the U.S. alone! This means it reaches way more people than the evo, haha, this poll is a JOKE!
