If it wasn't for Babe Ruth there would be no Jackie Robinson or Roberto Clemente Day. The Babe saved baseball after the Black Sox scandal. He is the greatest to have ever played the game. And, before anyone comments differently, tell me any other player who has won 96 games as a pitcher and hit 715 HR's. It took Barry Bonds and Hank Aaron alot more AB's to break the HR record. In the same amount of AB's no one has hit more HR's than the Babe.
