I've heard too many negative things about products manufactured in China to trust them. Buy American!

If its liker their tires, toothpaste, baby food and drywall the RVs will be junk.

Definitely the quality of US RV will decrease since N.American RV companies need to drop their prices in order to compete with low-priced Chinese RVs.

You also need to realize that you can not compare Japanese products with Chinese products. There is fundamental difference between the 2 countries concerning quality control. Japanese are meticulous and obsessed with maintaining high quality, which is why Japanese manufactured good, though cost higher, have the lowest percentage of defective rates. Whereas Chinese manufacturer/corporation is not too concerned with quality as Japanese. Moreover their number one priority is to GET RICH FAST. Therefore, they will not think twice to cut corners in order to secure more profit. Which is why there are so many defective, unsafe, inferior products flooding North American (& rest of the world) market today.

[Moreover, I heard horror stories from several companies they faced when dealing with Chinese manufacturers. Where Chinese manufacturers would send acceptable product sample but after approval (signed contract, receiving orders, payment etc.), they would ship poorer quality products obviously different from the agreed product sample. Their business ethic is pretty low too.]

No doubt, allowing entry of Chinese RVs will prove to be detrimental to our RV industry and US RV market.

The chinese motorhomes will be junk. Kwikee products an rv parts maker has since 2007 had half of there products made in china and more coming and it's just garbage.

I drive a three year old Toyota that has never been back to the dealership since purchase. I have a brand new rv that is being sent back to the factory for repairs - to be out of service for two months. What is a consumer to think?

Since the quality of Chinese manufactored RV's will be poor at best the US made one's will decrease due to costs and time to manufator them... they will have to compete some how. I personally WILL NOT buy one built in a foreign company no matter HOW cheap they are. Shame on any RV manufactor who "OUT SOURCES" to any country... boycott them...
