I do work freelance writing for another website, they have never asked for my ss number and I get paid every Monday. Money isn't great but it is regular. I do know they will send me an email about the 1099 at some point but they haven't yet. I have only been writing for them 3 weeks, so far.

Ok. vWorker may work for the coders who adhere to the rules.
But it is not always possible to adhere to the rules which change at any time.
Recently I was affected by such a rule (i-e refunding the fund released from the Escrow).
