Will the positive results on the retail sales report be good for the dollar?
Yes. It will give assurance to traders that the U.S. economy is doing well, with or without additional QE from the Fed.
Heck no. The somewhat-positive results will weigh down heavily on the dollar due to risk appetite!
Traders don’t really care. They are just too focused on the Fed’s QE program right now.
