I have found the "engagement" gets a better response from c-level executives who are a bit tentative to make the leap! Plus, the term gets more to the point of what social media is trying to do.
I used to always say Social Marketing. But it confused most people and they thought I meant guerrilla marketing instead of digital. So I switched to Social Media Marketing.
