I started going to alternative Christian churches with my daughter years ago. I kept hearing the music being called worship and I asked her why do they call it worship? I told her worship to me was praying, revering God, and for me, attending mass/service to get in the word. She told me no, it means the singing part of church. I could never accept that. The music before the sermon seems like a concert- they play it so loudly, churches offer free earplugs. Why can’t they just lower the volume? It would be more enjoyable. Then Moms wouldn’t have to put those headsets on their babies and little children. Sorry, not the point but that bugs me. Thank you!

I am trying to find singing as synonymous with worship and so far, no luck. Perhaps the error started when a Sunday meeting was labeled a Worship Service" or " Divine Service" when that titled is properly ascribed to the life one lives by preaching The Gosoel and serving others out of a consecrated life. That is worsgip service
