I'm amazed you pulled it off this long! We decided that when our kids asked straight out, we'd tell them the truth. Henry kept confusing Santa and angels. So last year when he asked we told him. Funny thing is, he really doesn't care. The girls asked a few years ago. Quite frankly it's all way easier now. And Santa is still bringing a few gifts this year. Shoot, I still get gifts from "Santa".
