I HAVE DONE SOMETHING THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN CONGRESS AND MOST OF THE LEFT DID NOT DO AND THAT IS I READ THE BILL. IT IS EXTREMELY BAD BILL, IT HAS MANY THINGS IN IT BESIDES HEALTHCARE AND IS A SOCIALIST DOCTRINE.
IT NOT ONLY TAKES OVER HEALTHCARE, INSURANCE COMPANIES PLUS ALSO TAKES OVER STUDENT LOANS, TAKES OVER YOUTH MOVEMENT AND IS TOTALLY UNCONSTITUTIONAL. IT VIOLATES THE 10TH AMENDMENT, IT HAS THE IRS IN CONTROL OF ALL OF OUR LIVES AND IN 2014 IF YOU DONT HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE YOU WILL BE FINED BY THE IRS AND IF YOU DONT PAY THE FINE YOU WILL GO TO JAIL.
PLUS AS OF THIS PAST JAN. 1ST THE INSURANCE COMPANIES CANT MAKE MORE THE 20% MARGIN OR THEY WILL BE FINED AND IN 2014 IT GOES DOWN TO 15% THAT IN EFFECT WILL FORCE ALL THE INSURANCE COMPANIES TO GO BANKRUPT AND GO OUT OF BUSINESS WHICH LEAVES YOU WITH A GOVERNMENT RUN SINGLE PAYER HEATHCARE SYSTEM THROUGH THE BACK DOOR.
RATIONING HAS ALREADY STARTED FOR EXAMPLE YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED MORE THEN ONE STRESS TEST IN A YEAR. I KNOW THAT TO BE TRU BECAUSE IT HAPPENED TO ME.
WE NEED TO OPEN UP THE BOARDERS SO WE CAN BUY HEALTH INSURANCE ACROSS STATE LINES FOR THE BEST AND CHEAPEST IN COUNTRY FOR OURFAMILIES. TORT REFORM IS NEEDED, WE ALSO NEED TO HAVE BUSINESSES WHO HAVE 5 OR MORE EMPLOYEES TO HAVE PAID SICK LEAVE THAT WILL PREVENT ILLNESSES TO SPREAD AND EPIDEMICS TO START.
THIS WILL ALSO CUT DOWN ON HEALTHCARE COST BECAUSE YOU A PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM GETTING SICK.
THIS IS SOME OF WHAT I BELIEVE IN AND AS A CONGRESSMAN IN 2012 WHEN I DEFEAT DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ I WILL FIGHT FOR IT. WE HAVE TO LOWER COST AND SAVE LIVES THIS WILL DO IT FOR STARTERS.
    THANK YOU,
    JOE GOLDNER

I am wondering, of all the people voting on either side of the issue, how many have read what the bill contains? If you have not looked at it, or a summary of it, how can you really have an informed opinion on this matter? I would challenge any who opposed it to look at the provisions in the bill (www.HealthCare.gov) and comment on what provisions you would opposed.

I also wonder how we have gotten to the point that the ideology that loses an election feels they have a right to repeal what the majority has voted for. Health Care reform was one of the big topics in 2010 and the majority voted for it. Our system doesn't allow for sour grapes, does it?

I was appalled this morning when I went to the CBS4 website to read the news and found that the daily poll question was "Should ObamaCare be repealed?"

ObamaCare is a pejorative, partisan term that belongs on opinion pages. I called to complain and was able to express my views to Cesar Aldama who did not seem concerned about the use of the biased term on the website. He was busy, it was another awful day for our brave law enforcement officers, but I got the sense he didn't understand my objection to the use of the word. I nevertheless am grateful to him for patiently listening to me.

Although I did not expect the term to come down, I hope CBS4 will see fit to explain why it was chosen for this question in the first place. To say it is "shorthand" for the law is a cop-out and unbecoming of any journalist or any news organization. There are surely other ways to refer to the law without adopting the pejorative word used by its opponents. Posting it gives the appearance that CBS4 is biased and has selected one side over another in the debate over the health care law. You wonder where else in CBS4’s work can bias be found. Even something this "small"- a pejorative word- brings the credibility of the entire news operation into question.

When the Herald ran with a headline that said "Obamacare arrives Thursday'', lots of people objected and both the Herald ombudsman and then Executive Editor Gyllenhaal recognized that it was not a good choice of words - it devoted an entire ombudsman column to it. Here is the link: http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/10/10/1865463/obamacare-wrong-choice-for-headline.html

The Herald tried to explain what happened and oops and hemmed and hawed, but it was quite clear about what happened and gave an explanation. It addressed the concerns of its readers even if not everyone bought their story.

Whether someone at CBS4 was naive, sloppy, or just exposed their partisan proclivities, I hope CBS4 will have enough respect for its viewers and web readers to explain what happened publically. Journalistic ethics and good editorial practice calls for it. Of all people, folks who work in the news know that words matter whether they are in a news story or in a poll question.

    It's called HEALTHCARE REFORM.

A "news" website should not try to skew results of a poll by using the rightwing term "Obamacare".
