The FSU vs ND game was huge I never cheered so hard in my life.

Don't recall the exact year but do recall the game ending the streak. Actually there were two streaks. Oklahoma's long winning streak and the streak of consecutive games without being shut out. Both streaks ended when the Irish shut them out 7 - 0. Interesting side note. ND was at the other end of the streak as well.

This list is a joke. Take out the Utah game & Rossum's kick return against Purdue.

How could you leave out Ray Zellars' mack truck & hurdle TD against Purdue in '94?

I voted for the UCLA game.. because i was sitting in the corner of the endzone with my new wife at our first game together.. as Jeff S. ran right at us to score.... at that moment she understood my love for ND. The FSU game should win... but UCLA still get's my vote GO IRISH!!

D'Omer: The only games that are eligible for selection are those that have been played during NBC's exclusive broadcasts of Notre Dame football home games. That means that only 50% of Notre Dame's football games (the home games) for the timespan during which ND and NBC have had their contract are eligible. Therefore, none of Notre Dame's national championship seasons, nor 99% of their most memorable games, were eligible. As those of us who have suffered through the misery of ND football during the past 23 years know, there hasn't been much to celebrate. Even the Notre Dame victory over Florida State in 1993 is difficult to celebrate, given that Notre Dame was screwed out of their rightful place as National Champions! This was in spite of the fact that ND had 1 more win than Florida State, both ND & Florida State had 1 loss, and ND beat Florida State head-to-head! Here are some of my most favorite games in chronological order (none of these games was eligible for selection).: Sugar Bowl 1973: ND 24 Alabama 23; Orange Bowl 1975: ND 13 Alabama 11; Cotton Bowl 1978: ND 38 Texas 10; Cotton Bowl 1979: ND 35 Houston 34; Fiesta Bowl 1989: ND 34 WV 21. Hopefully, Kelly will reverse this miserable streak of mediocre to downright awful seasons! ND has never had a streak of more than 17 years between national championships! Thank you Bob Davie, Tyrone Willingham, and most of all, Charlie "Blubber" Weis. Go ND!

1977- Green Jerseys coming out of the tunnel

This was easier than I anticipated. Unless you were too young to have seen the '93 FSU/ND classic, I can't imagine any of these other games having a more memorable moment on NBC. The Snow Bowl would be my 2nd choice.

Ah, the good old days...and now we're heading back toward good times! :-)
