wow they already should gave them dammit , al gaddafi is a few days away from killing the whole country .. no offence but this is kinda late!
All the Libyan people are asking for is badly needed weapons to defend themselves. We even rent them in order to guarantee that they will be returned and accounted for after we are free. This is to silence those who claim to be worried about the possibility of weapons falling in the wrong hands or that we don't know who are the freedom fighter are? Which is a ridiculous claim by the way. Just ask Giraldo Rivera and Bernard-Henri Lévy and others.

Gahdaffi is not a matter of only Libyan, he is now a threat to the whole world.
if this man would be on power again he'll try to revenge from all the nations which act against him including US, and all of Us remember what he had done in 1988 .

We are thankful for what the world has already done for the Libyan People. But No Fly Zone is not enough to protect our civilians as we can see on the ground. Gaddafi has big arsenal of weapons which he bought using Libyan people money to protect himself & his family & regime not Libyas.
Gaddafi is still recruiting mercenaries uo to now. We have the spirit & the courage to fight on to free Libya from Gaddafi's occupation but that is not going to be enough to defend ourselves or win against Gaddafi's heavier arsenal of weapons & highly trained mercenaries. We definitely need more arms & possibly more training especially now that we have created a unified people's army for free Libya. We are ready to pay for it using the Frozen Libyan assets & money abroad. Just please don't delay as Gaddafi is still killing and maiming innocent civilians every day & he will not pay any attention to the human cost as long as he ends up controlling at the very least part of the country which will leave Libya broken & divided.
One thing you should know and 100/100 true that there is no QAEDA in Libya, There is no evidence what so ever about existence of Al Qaeda in Libya. In fact Qaddafi him self threatened to join with Al Qaeda from abroad to fight America and the West. Qaddafi is a ticking terror bomb.

What is happening in Libya is more disastrous than the media can transfer. Being Libyan, I was really sad when I saw my fellow citizens being killed, tortured, and raped. What is happening in Libya is not linked to Al-Qaeda. It was a peaceful protest, and because the regime had never thought of such thing, his reflex was extremely aggressive. Many doctors reported that in the first night of protests in Tripoli 60 citizens were killed. More over, injured patient were killed inside hospital, and then foot-dragged by mercenaries. So, please help us free our country
the international community made decision to protect the civilians in the first place ... and by arming the rebels ...they'll make that much more easier ...

Stopping a loony dictator from killing his people is morally justifiable. Sending more arms into the situation seems like adding fuel to fire we are also trying to extinguish.

Absolutely not! The US must not repeat the same mistake they did in Afghanistan during the 80s. I think doing the no-fly zone and helping the rebels from the outside to achieve their goals its enough. After all it is their civil war not ours.

Yes they should arm them and do it is as soon as possible - his forces are butchering people right now, and he is bringing new mercenaries in from Chad and other countries to kill more. I am furious and disgusted at those supposed 'liberals' in the West who are standing by Gaddafi rather than by people fighting and dying for their freedom. It seems that some on the Western left, like others on the Western right, likes to see Arabs subjugated so long as they agree with the leader's political claims. Gaddafi is a tyrant and a murderer; those who support him or claim that the freedom fighters are the extremists are no better than him.

Gadhafi's crashing the Nafusa mountain and western cities one by one using all whatever he have of weapon. USA still has no clue what to do and this can go for weeks till we get another Rawnda.

I do not know why the west do not want to arm the Libyan army organised by the the Transitional National Council in Libya and every one knows the this council represents all Libyans except those who have been heavily bribed by the most corrupt regime in the world.
I think that governments like China and Russia have been seduced by enormous amounts of money and that is why they are still supporting this murderous regime.

I believe that USA should arm Libyan people...As president Obama noticed, civilians got murdered by war machine used by Qadaffi forces....I think USA should help Libyans to build national Libyan army, that in future after liberating Libya from Qadaffi's mercenaries forces, this army will be part of the NATO.
The US should funnel the arms through Egypt or Turkey so as not to make a big scene out of it. At the very least, the opposition deserves a fighting chance so they can have a chance to prove to themselves and the world that they can maintain a government that is accountable to their people. The United States faces a difficult political challenge in trying to field a limited military operation in a place where its interests are relatively limited. However, they should work toward their implicit goal which to see Gaddafi gone.

It is the US moral responsibility to arm the libyan freedomfighters and to put an end to the bloodshed in Libya. Helping the people anywhere in the world simply is one of the American values on which the founding fathers established the American nation. Would America respect its values? i hope.

I'm Libyan, and really seeing what is going on. Qaddafi and his criminals, should not stay in this world. If they can they will kill all Libyans, in addition they will also try to do any thing that heart countries involved on the Libya military operation. arming Libyan under the National Transitional Council's supervision maybe a good solution to end all this
I think this is a thing that should be done right away bcz the crazy gaddafi has been bringing weapons from all over the world to kill children and women. Rebels will bring us freedom and democracy and as soon as we get this creature out, our life will turn to the good.
A better approach is to arm Libyan Army under the National Transitional Council's supervision, through available frozen funds belonging to the Libyan people abroad.
