Yes. Over an hour wait, then an i.v. drip with huge air bubbles in the line going into a vein, then a person wheeling a mobile computer entered proclaiming to be 'the most important person in this hospital'. I thought it finally was the doctor. No, it was the billing clerk coming to get insurance information. After that important work was done I removed the i.v. drip and left.

Actually It was my son who I took to the emergency room. The triage part went very quickly and we were put in a room within 15 minutes of our arrival. 1 hour later, no one had come to see him. He was in great pain from a kidney stone. I went to the nurses station and was told they were very busy but someone would be there soon.
45 minutes later I went back to the nurses station and observed the nurses and at least one doctor standing and chatting, about things other than the patients I feel because they were quite jovial and laughing.
I tried to get the attention of the nurse, who made eye contact with me twice, but she left and went down another hallway. I returned to my sons room and by this time my wife had arrived. I explained the situation, and we decided to leave. Total time , 2 hours 10 minutes. Actions to help my son, none.

We then went to St. Francis, and within 1 hour he had been seen and was given something for his pain. Although he wound up spending more time there to have tests done etc. the overall treatment was far superior.

If I were seconds from dying and only a block from Vassar Bros. I would insist on going elsewhere for treatment. They just don't care!
